[QUOTE="W1NGMAN-"][QUOTE="Blackbond"]That and Gears 2. I mean a $200 system and Gears2 = massive sales.
Blackbond
Gears 2 had nothing to do with it, the 200 was enough to convince people into buying it. Do people not see what the Wii is doing in the sells department with the gaming library it has to offer?
Games =/= Sells...it's just a sad fact this gen.
Gears had nothing to do with it lol? Did you see how much it sold?
Games =/= Sells???? Yeah look at JRPGs in Japan, Mario Kart, Halo 3, MGS4 okay.
The Wii's game library appeals to the largest demographic. What did you think was to happen? To say that Games =/= Sells is just ridiculous. What do you think sells the systems then? Brand loyalty lol? People buy consoles to get games that appeal to them.
And I told you people time and time again that Sony going this whole 1st, 2nd party thing wouldn't work because they don't appeal like Nintendo's in house games do. Now look at the software sales.
They need to go back to old playstation methods if they want to succeed.
You don't get it do you. Nintendo marketed the Wii so f'n brilliantly....the Wii should be last this gen, but it's not you know why? Pricing for one, right out the gate 250, the cheapest "next gen" console.
but mainly MARKETING! They got people talking, "omg Wii Sport, ANYONE can play Wii Sport"...they made the Wiimote more than what it really was but it's gotten to that point that it's gonna sell regardless of what it has to offer because well everybody has a Wii, you just gotta have a Wii in your house.
Nintendo knows this, come on what the freak did they have to offer Wii owners this holiday season? What do they have to offer Wii owners next year? How many TV ads did you see of the Wii last year?
The Wii will be the most successful gaming console known to man, yet won't have the best gaming library in the gen... that 's gonna go to either the PS3 or 360.
