Proof it was a huge loss?

It's hard for anything to live up to ps2's marketshare dominance , but lets look as some of the positives -

• 60+ million sold already
• #1 selling console worldwide as of late (HOT)
• Arguably the best software sales worldwide as of late (HOT)
• $199 pricepoint very likely within a years time
• More exclusives on the way - The Last of Us , God of War IV , The Last Guardian , PS ALL-Stars Battle Royal ...... and many more for all demographics
• Good 3rd party support now and lined up in the near future

This is very likely headed towards 80+ million lifetime , and who know 100+ million depending on PS4 release and many other factors.

We can come back in 4 years time from now and see how it did compared to the PS2's in it's first decade and compare these two legendary Sony systems.

1) If they are selling on par in the US but 3DS is winning by a wide margin in Japan, that still means the 3Ds is outselling it globalling (not sure about European numbers)

2) Considering the Move is supposed to appeal to core gamers and is cheaper than the Kinect, yes that is a lot.

3) Resistance and Killzone have both seen a decrease of sales.MAG and Socom 4 were a flop (I feel bad for Zipper though since Socom 4 launched during the PSN blackout last year, that probably killed sales). LBP2 hasn't sold as much LBP1 either

Dude this stuff is cmmon knowledge. When I google search these things VG Chartz is the first thing that comes up. I'm not going to go digging for the exact number that are probably relatively close to the VG Chartz numbers anyway. Realisticly I think they're doing fine, with terrible marketing and high price at first they were bound to stumble. Also the PSN hacking didn't hurt it, or their utter refusal to say sorry at E3 for it (if I remember right?). They made mistakes, like all of them, but 60+ million is damn impressive for more expensive hardware.
