You pretty much lost credibility when you posted the worst pic of Gears 2 you could find on the Internet.

I wasn't aware that he ever had any at all.
lol was just about to post that.

Lie. I have both blu ray and HD DVD movies. They are indistinguishable.I agree with the blu-ray point ya made cause nothing comes close to blu-ray quality.
Crappy pics of gears are crappy though

agreed. I have never in any of my play time with Gears, Uncharted or KZ2, had a reason to see what a game or any part there of looks like with the camera in it's grill. The KZ2 photo by TC isn't zoomed in on anything, why the Gears one? Weak argument.its interesting how cows seem so certain of the PS3s graphical superiority in these threads, yet have to add blur and resize screens of games like Forza 3 before criticising them, it just seems a little inconsistent to me.

No one makes HD DVDs anymore...
Go to Amazon. I buy HD DVDs because I can get most of the movies I want for less than $8. They did make over 300 titles in HD DVD. What, do think they just vanished when they stopped making current films in this format? I never said I buy anything new on it. Here's what I have: Unforgiven;Hulk; Batman Begins; the Deer Hunter; King Kong; Superman; Superman Returns; Transformers; Last Samurai; V for Vendetta. Why would I pay at least $25 for one of those on blu when a classic like Unforgiven cost me 1.93? A player can be found for $30!Go to Amazon. I know this... but my point was really it's not competition because no one even makes them anymore, and new titles don't release their media on the format so you can't really compare them. At the time yes but now no, but that's one hell of a deal you are getting though :D

An addon can, but not a standalone player. Everything else you said is valid ;)You forgot one thing though TC, Unreal Engine 3.5 is VERY different from Uncharted's Engine, UC Engine is exclusive to the Playstation 3 and was built from the ground up on the PS3. Unreal Engine 3.5 is a multiplatform engine that was not built from the ground up for the Xbox 360.
DarkGamer007
This Arguement is getting old. Gears 2 is the first game to use Unreal 3.5. You don't think Epic tweaked it to high heaven on the 360? It is a 360 exclusive game. The 360 is basically an under powered PC, they share the same architecture. How much do you think an exclusive engine is going to gain over a tweaked out multiplat engine? The reason the PS3 games engines makes that big a difference(from its 1st party to 3rd party) is because the architecture is way different than anything else. For this reason, on the PS3, a 1st party engine is going to out perform a multiplat engine. The 1st party one will be made to work exclusively with the PS3's odd architecture. The 360 doesn't have this problem. An engine can be tweaked out til they get tired on a 360. There is nothing odd about its architecture. it is straight forward PC. Building an engine from the ground up on the 360 is not going to offer a huge bump in graphics over using a good multiplat engine. In the end, its all about how much work the dev wants to put into it.

I wonder why it is that Lemmings claim that they can clearly see the "glaring" differences between multiplat titles?

Chris's hands look HUGE! Never noticed that before. To everyone saying that the Gears shot is the crappiest picture out there.
Yes, indeed it is. But that's not because it's fringe. The close up of Drake's face and the Locust's face are comparison shots that show the difference in quality upon close up of the character models.
No matter what shot of Gears you have, the closer you get to the polygons, the more it's going to break down until it gets as bad as that Locust. The character models on the PS3 tend to be...different. In the case of Gears, this is because it tends to be more artsyle-oriented. The 360 couldn't handle anything more; Gears is already glitchy as it is.

actually one thing to note, re4 has beefed up cutscenes but the actually gameplay does look different. The 360 version ran smoother, had better AA, ps3's had a tendency to turn on and off probably for performance, sharper textures Using that pic of the cutscene just shows he was picking shots that only supported himWhere did you get that horrible DVD screen. 300 does not look like that on my DVD player, that looks like a crappy cam job pirated from a theater. The only difference between the BD screen and the DVD I have of 300 is probably the vibrance of the color, but it's minimal my DVD is clear and looks great.
[QUOTE="neo418"][QUOTE="comeonthehoops"]Wow. Fail. I never see anybody claiming that they really can't notice any difference between Blu-Ray and DVD. However, I see a lot of claims that the difference isn't enough to warrant an upgrade at the current prices. And I rarely see lems claiming there are noticable differences. You picked out pictures with no differences anyway. In some games, the differences are very noticable. And you picked out the worst 360 pictures you could find. Lemmings could do the same thing. Why do you pretend to own all three consoles? (Your sig). It's quite clear you're a cow.wolverine4262
Were you here for resi 5? it was the biggest game at the time that lems pulled over cows for slighlty better looking graphics
which means something when the console running it is quite a bit cheaper.by cheaper do u mean how MS used cheap parts to build xbox360 which then = RROD
because lots of people get fooled into thinking the xbox 360 is a better value (cheaper) than ps3 which is only true on initial purchase but when u add cost for xbox live and extras like wif fi adapter since some cant have their xbox360 near a modem/router
those that bought xbox360 in 2005 and have xbox livehave already paid more for their xbox 360 than ps3 so i dont see how the xbox 360 is cheaper
they both have things to offer that imo give them equal value so dont think the xbox 360 is cheaper or a better value
