What are the most annoying arguments here on SW?

Anything involving fanboys, but usually graphics or sales arguments.

I hate when people make statements and follow it with "IMO". Ex. "Infamous sux!!! Prototype iz wayyy better, IMO". Everybody knows it's your opinion. All this board is is everybody going with or against each others opinions. There is no need to point it out with every statement you make

But I also hate the Infamous vs. Prototype argument. The games are not even that similar

Whenever ppl selectively choose certain "facts" or sources, only when it's convenient.

IE: -Only GS matters!/Teh GR and MC are the real world D:

-Sales don't matter! -runs to make sales thread to brag as soon as their system/game sells well-

why do pc gamers complain about no dedicated servers... their just spoiled and should shut the f up! i mean 360/ps3has an inferior matchmaking system since forever so why should we expect more? i mena even if they have had a better online experience and community that cannot be found in live or psn b/c of lack ofdedicated servers or mod support, why would the sudden change anger them? my 360/ps3 is not as good as your $500000000000 computer so we'll just accept shortcomings in games or lack of features b/c well its only a console. i dont see why pc gamers are mad at having to pay for dlc i mena i paid $60 bucks for a game i dont see why i cant pay $10 more for a couple of junk maps or a new costume. i dont realize dlc is something they should have already put into the game in the first place and it is only a way of milking me out of my parents money which i am so ready to spend.

I am not a fan of Metacritic and Gamerankings being held to some golden standard. "Bu, bu its not with the averagre opinion :cry: ". Do you read reviews for information people or do you read them to ***** about not being a robotic common dominator?

The reason why I hate this argument is because it usually has to do with graphics. What people who use this argument fail to see though is that if Super Mario Galaxy (or other great game) was released/developed for those systems its graphics would be better so the score would most likely be kept the same. That argument is yet another one that needs to be filed in the "System Wars Logic" category.

not only that, there are huge technical differences b/w wii games and 360/ps3 games. physics and graphics are huge parts. look at the amount of things that are in the game, most of the time wii games have 1/2 the content you see in 360/ps3 games. the wiishould not have that problem b/c its on a cdsame asthe 360 games, so wii devs are not putting as much content as they can and should.multiplayer is nonexistant in wii games and while isnt the determining factor of course it does contribute greatly. a lot of wii games are only noted for motion conrtol gimmicks, take that away and they are nothing new or special at all. look at the overall polish of wii games, they look worse than a lot of ps2/xbox games and play worse.

the only exception to this is the 1st party nitendo games (excluding the multitude of mario shovelware)

When people say the DS and Wii only have kiddy games

When people say the DS and Wii have no good games, but when you list them they find some way to disregard them for not being HD, or not having online, or something stupid.

When people think any games graphics are compareable to Crysis.

Any argument which involves people thinking a certain game is better because the graphics are better.

The "standards" argument, but mainly because 99% of the time it's a fanboy using this argument, and they have no idea what they're talking about.

1. Graphics are the most important thing in gaming.

2. Online is all that matters.

3. Reviews are Gods final word on the quality of a game.

4. Sales mean nothing.

5. Only hyped blockbuster mainstream games are worth talking about.

6. You have to play all the hyped games on day one to be "cool".

7. Internet trends are great so I'll mindlessly follow them.

8. Calling anything gimmicks that you don't like or agree with.

9. "I'm a better gamer because I play this genre and you play that genre".

10. Mature = 'hardcore'.

"thats just opinion" is an intellectual black hole. there is no point in posting this as an 'argument', because youre not making one. youre making a nega-argument, actually adding to the other standpoint by showing youre incapable of coming up with a coherent counterpoint. its also a spam post, since it has no substance of any kind--its kind of like spamming your signature or something.

When people post things like this and put a laughing face. That is annoying to me....I don't understand what's so funny! Most of the time, 360 fans will post a list of games coming out and PS3 fans come out in droves saying "not exclusive! LOL" even when that wasn't the point of the thread.
