Probably some Elden Ring, but most of my time will be getting odd jobs done at my condo before renovations.
Yea, I don't know how Square Enix let this launch unless they just wanted to get it over with and let it die quickly lol.
Picked up ER yesterday because I’ve heard it’s the best thing since sliced bread and put maybe a hour into it and I’m pretty ok with it. ER is freaking hard though. 7/10 so far,RPG have always been something I’ve gotten lost in and easily fooled by. The last RPG I was pretty serious about completing was Zelda on the SNES.
Finished Robin's challenges and campaigns in Arkham City. Tried Nightwing's campaigns, but I'm fed up again. I don't know how people have the patience to immediately do it all over again with another character. Hours of more work. Fun at times to figure out, the Predator maps, but as a whole still work. Yeah, will be a long while before I bother with Nightwing.
Decided to ignore Elden Ring this weekend and finally start a playthrough of Super Mario Sunshine on the Switch. I played for 6 hours straight today. Loving this game! Camera is crap though.
I played Sunshine for the first time on the Switch. I'm a bit annoyed that I never got it for the GameCube back in the day. Was a really fun game, totally missed out.
@Litchie: 'I played Sunshine for the first time on the Switch'
This is the Dark Souls of Mario games. I've died more times in a 6 hour span than I have in the 40 hours of Elden Ring play time. And it's not because it's hard... The camera literally makes the game unplayable. But other than that, the game is amazing.

I didn't have any big issues with the camera. Only part I thought was hard was the pachinko stage, since you have like no control over it. That one took me a few tries.
I finished GoW2 and got the platinum. Never played the old ones, but I'm having more fun than with the new one.
I just tried that snowboard game Shredders via Game Pass. 🤢🤢🤢 I haven’t played controls that bad in a snowboard game since 1080 on N64… It’s 2022. There’s no reason to be fighting with a game like that… Not sure who thought that was a good idea, but yikes. And the screen tearing on Series S is awful. And it wasn’t on the top 1/4 of the screen like usual. It was tearing down the middle
My mental health had taken a turn for the worse a few days ago due to a circumstance out of my control, and all of sudden I started coughing badly again. Not constantly, but often enough to be abnormal. I'm 100% convinced now that my illness had a mental health component. Thankfully, the problem that caused my downturn seems to have been fixed now, so I'm feeling much better today.
Anyway, just finished farming Garuda Prime stuff in Warframe on Thursday, so when I'm not clearing excess relics, I'm taking some tentative steps to start a Cyberpunk 2077 play-through. Otherwise, I'm keeping my slate clear for Total War: Warhammer III 1.1 patch coming on April 5th.
@madrocketeer: Sorry to hear that you had that rough patch there. Good to hear that things seem to be back on track now.
This weekend I played some Elden Ring NG+ and Kirby and the Forgotten Land but it’s mostly been all about WrestleMania for me. Time for night 2 baby!
@madrocketeer: Why do you think your mental health is at risk?
Again, don't really want to go into the exhaustive details. But let's just say it's a combination of isolation, stress, and lack of good news, both locally and globally, and leave it at that.
@madrocketeer: hang in there - I'm going through some crazy stress myself these days and sometimes it can be tough. But it'll be ok in the end. Keep on gamin' and finding the things in life that make you happy
Thanks. As I said, I've made a small change 17 days ago to shore up my state of mind, and it more or less worked. It's just that 4 days ago something happened that blocked my ability to keep implementing that change, so I immediately felt miserable. It's fixed now, so I'm fine again. I'll be fine.
@madrocketeer: don’t worry @ madrocketeer: just hang in there and things will work as they seem to have already.
I'm playing the single player campaign of Halo Infinite. I don't like it as much as Halo 2, 3 or Reach, but it's still pretty good. I don't like the whole open world structure. I have to run over a thousand meters on foot to get to the next objective, which is very tedious. The warthogs, mongooses, ghosts and razorbacks that are available are rare to find, plus they are hard to drive through any kind of rocky area.
@madrocketeer: Yo dawg I just want to give you a word of support. The isolation and lack of good news around the world has affected a lot more of us than we're sometimes willing to admit.
The good news is it's caused many to wakeup and realize that "manning up" and bottling that shit inside isn't healthy. I think it says a lot about you to open up, so mad props to you and glad to hear things are getting better. Don't give up, and take it one day at a time! 👍

Cheers, mate. To be honest, I probably wouldn't have mentioned it if it didn't affect me physically as well. Now, again, I wouldn't go so far as to say my mental state turned my throat into sandpaper, caused me to cough dozens of times a minute and make my nostrils feel like rush hour traffic jams - I still blame allergies for that. However, I do believe it is the reason it took me over three weeks to recover, despite taking three different medications to alleviate it, and it probably would have been even longer had I not done the small change.
Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm doing right now. Certainly seems a good idea. Thanks again. Thanks to everyone offering support.

Open world is very fitting for the game, but 343i is incapable of great level design.

hang in there, you're definitely not alone. Things have been hard for lots of people, myself included. Buddha said it best, life is suffering.
on topic, i've been playing tiako no tatsujin, and cris tales. I want to get back on the switch and finish off dread.

Shit, ain't that the truth. I've been dealing with some issues since last year, and part of it is because of that. My Mom's been my biggest supporter along with one of my Cousins, but some of my other family members have been assholes about it. I just had to drop a job because it was affecting me and that still hasn't washed away from me. In short: @madrocketeer, glad you are speaking up. More men need to do so, and you are not alone.
Outside of this, I just bought Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1+2 and Kingdom Hearts 2.8. I'll try to play it sometime today. I have the second half of the Legacy Collection on my Switch as I had a new copy of it but the 2nd half was a digital copy, and I traded in the first half. I've been wanting to go back to MMX along with Dream Drop Distance. Right now, I am playing more of Dark Cloud 2, Sonic Colors Ultimate, Fortnite, and Rayman Legends. I may get back to Overwatch as well.
@Miyomatic: They are, just never binge all 8 like I did back to back on the Switch. Burnout. Just about a week ago or some days back, I remember having this "craving" to go back and play the X games, or at least from X3 onward because I don't feel like the difficulty that exists within the first game, especially with the final boss. I have yet to beat 8 because the back to back final bosses are hard.
I really want to play the Zero games but I definitely some form of tips or help with getting through those games because I tried to play them years ago and they are rough right at the beginning.
For the last two weekends, nothing. I am too occupied with work and non-gaming interests. Perhaps I should not be posting on this thread at all or any similar thread as I have not played a video game ever since I started my new job in November of last year.
@goldenelementxl: I hate not having a competent ski/snowboard game. Steep was really bad. I'd love to see an accurate backcountry game with real trails... Tuckerman ravine in New Hampshire or the Disippointment Clever route on mt Rainier.
Not surprising. "Wonder how bad this one's gonna be" is my immediate thought when a new ski/snowboarding game is announced. I miss SSX so much.
Just picked up Xenoblade Chronicles: The Definitive Edition at Best Buy for $60. I could've got it cheaper but I didn't feel like waiting and I didn't want to go digital. It feels like I'm playing FFXII but worse. Not too many games can pull off that auto battle crap competently. I can't help but wonder if I made a mistake and I should've grabbed Elden Ring even though I hate Souls games. I might take it back if I'm not having fun in the next 2-3 days lol

Lol should’ve just waited for Xenoblade 3
@SolidGame_basic: Why would I jump straight into the 3rd game? That's not my style at all. I value the story so I at least need to understand it to enjoy the game. I primarily play JRPG's. I would never lol

Xenoblade Chronicles had it's moments, the world is pretty cool, and the soundtrack was nice, but all in all.. it's a pretty boring game. Feels like an MMO in both combat and questing, but is single player.
I'd say Elden Ring is a way better game. It's the most forgiving Souls game I've played as well, if it's the difficulty you hate.
Elden Ring this week and the weeks to come. The first game in many years that i somehow don't get tired off of when reaching that 100h mark.
Just put together my first gunner set in MH Rise. Ive been a greatsword user for so long but I wanted to try something different. Heard K/M is perfect for gunning.
Also Elden Ring is losing traction big time and I still have so much to explore. You can put a lot of work in this game and make absolutely no progress... but it is still fun when you come across some new gothic shit. Real hot and cold game ... but lacks a sense of momentum and adventure.
Really don't know why the developers saw fit to subtitle all the Chinese of the bad guys (in parentheses, almost like SDH). First of all, Spider-Man, MJ and Miles don't speak Chinese, and second, most of the stuff that's subbed is totally unimportant. Game devs never have any taste for this stuff. Rockstar got it with Max Payne 3. Max was a stranger in a foreign country, so they chose to leave all the Portuguese without subs.
