Gonna put some time into Horizon Forbidden West and Kirby! I’m glad that Xeno 3 is coming out late July. Gives me something to work towards lol

Recently finished Kirby and the Forgotten Land and 100%-ed it. Started playing Triangle Strategy so will likely continue playing that this weekend.
horizon forbidden west, not off to the best of starts. will persevere.
and just booted up chaos theory on the laptop. it's been a loooooong time. even just starting out the first mission with the intel reading from lambert and grimsdottir brings back so many memories. love it. timeless classic for me
You’re not welcome here. We don’t like snowbirds!
🤣😂🤣😂
Enjoy your stay here my man👍
Oh, I’m already planning my next trip down. Hollywood Beach was legit. I’m gonna hit the Gulf side next with the kids. Then maybe the Keys. If the Florida politics weren’t so ass backwards, I‘d consider buying a spot down there…
Still playing 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim... damn I love this game!
I love it when you buy a game that was never on your radar at all, and it totally clicks with you. Last time it happened, it was Katana Zero. So cool.
@hrt_rulz01: really want to put more time into the game. Have only just started but it’s intriguing!
@hardwenzen: how many hours in Elden ring?
I don't even know anymore. I think like 370something. Gonna be playing all night so add a bunch🙃
I don't know how, but i don't get tired of this game. Has never happened before in a singleplayer game. I think i did good capping myself at level 80 so the game doesn't become so easy that you lose interest.
Finally putting some time into Horizon Zero Dawn and R&C Rift Apart. Horizon is growing on me a little bit more, but hoping the combat gets better in later stages of the game. (I'm only 1-2 hours into it right now)
Returnal and FH5 are still on backburner too. Always so much to play, and so little time.
Still Dreamfall Chapters. However, took a bit of a pause after finishing Zoe's chapter in Book 2 to return to Total War: Warhammer II. The usual comfort zones: first the bolt throwers, then rat Tony Stark. Tried Plague Claw Catapults again, only to go into too many battles thinking to myself "you know, I could have won this much easier with my old setup." Restarted and reverted back to 4 Poisoned Wind Mortars. Did get something new, though: I stopped being conservative with my casters and went for Plague instead of Pestilent Birth for my Plague Priests, and all of a sudden they've gone from mere Clanrats dispensers to racking hundreds of kills in siege battles. Yeah, I'm definitely keeping this.
Another change is I went south this time, across the sea to Araby. Not as rewarding as north or east, but I don't have to deal with Archy & co. all by myself like when I went north through Bretonnia and the Empire, and it's not as hard as going east to take on Grimgor, Thorgrim, Queek and Snikch while both defending the north and attacking south. Going south initially gave me some issues economically, but put me in a much better defensive position. Think this is how I will play from now on.
I've just hit a bit of a lull, though; I've just started the bit where I'm like that movie Somali pirate going "look at me, I'm the Chaos Invasion now," which is a bit of a formality at this point. I'm just too big and wealthy for anything to put up much of a fight against me. I think I'm going back to Dreamfall Chapters for a bit.
@SolidGame_basic: The story and characters from the get go were very interesting, and the combat is fun too.
I need to put more time in Elden Ring myself. Don't want to get to point I lose interest from unfamiliarity.
Probably more GTA online with my buddy and I can't stop playing Aliens Fireteam Elite.
@warmblur: "Reinstalling Mad Max love the combat in that game."
Man, lost count how many times that game keeps sucking me back in.
That operation on Spider-Man after they bring him into the homeless shelter is funny. What did they actually do without taking off his clothes?
Spider-Man's villains are boring, judging from this game. My never really getting into it feels completely justified.
Finished Spider-Man. Yeah, not very good. Feels very committee-made. Last PS4 game I bought, nearly three years ago, before Last of Us 2, which is supposed to come tomorrow. I have no idea why they told me that I couldn't upgrade anymore past that point if it was just a boss followed by the post-game in which you can do everything anyway. A needless spoiler, but I didn't care about the story anyway. Still, it wasn't some drawn out ending in several locations or something. Just the boss. Is this like a requirement for their open world games? Weird.
Went pretty far in the Last of Us II today before deciding Survival was just crappy. I found it so lame that your enemies always have unlimited ammo and you always have maybe two bullets, if any. Makes the game way too much about coming up behind, grab n' stab, rinse and repeat. So now I'm trying a balance of Hard and Survival. Nice that you can adjust all the individual difficulty parameters. But now, with the meter just one lower I'm finding too many resources, when I wanted more ammo. Oh well.
The story... doesn't matter. I've never understood the lust for vengeance. Some of those stories are very good, but none of them are among my favorites, because it's such a senseless desire. At least Kill Bill and its inspiration, Lady Snowblood, were fun. What I'm doing in this game, it doesn't feel like a real goal. Then again, I never cared about him anyway. I've never seen anyone in any media go to this length, through so much danger, for revenge. Edit: Well, there's God of War, but that's fantasy, not grounded realism.
First game that made me put the PS4 out in the hallway.
Because when you're playing a cinematic game, what you want to hear is your console fans roaring nonstop over the ambience. Brilliant engineering, consoles. Build them like computers but make them so small that the fans can barely ventilate the heat. And all the gamers care about is how nice it looks.
The default Contrast and Brightness are much too low and high. Have them at +4 and -4 in HDR.
@Miyomatic: nice, have lots of memories playing Wii sports bowling in college as for sports games, Mario Strikers is the one for me
Been playing Triangle Strategy recently so will be playing more of that this weekend. Bought the Torna Golden Country dlc for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 several days ago so may check some of that out as well.
@SolidGame_basic: Also looking forward to Strikers! So many great memories playing the original on GC, and was so pumped to see the new one announced for Switch.
I love that it's being developed by the original developers
Makes me wonder if anybody would be able to guess which game i am playing. Its a difficult task, but some are experienced enough.
@hardwenzen: I mean we're like 2 months past the release of that one crappy game I can't remember the name of...
My guess is you finally realized how bad it is and moved back to your typical hentai Steam game rotation. 😉
@hardwenzen: some weird gacha game?
Very disgusting ideas from you two. And its usually @dabear that looooves his steam hentail collection.
Still Total War: Warhammer II. Just finished up on my latest Ikit Claw campaign. Invading the Empire from the south in multiple prongs with my late game 10+ armies will never stop being satisfying. Even stomped on Archy and his boys all by myself as a detour. Man-things thoroughly nuked. Just lizard-things in Lustria left, and bollocks to that.
So I tried other factions. Tried Isabella, but her armies are hard-hitting but too fragile for my taste. Tried Morathi again, but my Bloodwrack Medusae armies have this weird trouble finishing off enemy armies, and I can't be bothered surviving her tough early game just to build another boring 2-lines-plus-artillery-and-monsters armies again.
Sigh. It's just not the same playing anything other than Ikit Claw and Sisters of Twilight. I'll keep trying, though.
I won't be doing much gaming this weekend. I will be outside with my daughter playing and doing yardwork. We will then be playing a few rounds of the Pokemon TCG, which she just got into. I may head to the local game store and play some MtG since Streets of Capenna just launched. I may even take my Star Wars Legion set and get a match in since they are having a free Legion event. We shall see though. A lot depends on how long the work in the yard takes.
