What are you playing this weekend, SW?

Total War: Warhammer III, but only tentatively. The recent update 1.1 has helped quite a bit, but I'm not going to pile in the hours until the mega-map - I still need my bolt throwers and rat Tony Stark comfort zones. Currently working my way through the Imrik's waifu campaign. I like ranged firepower, and Cathay seems to have the broadest options of ranged units right now.

But also, weirdly enough, Subnautica: Below Zero. I thought I was 100% done with it after finishing the Seatruck + 5 crafted batteries only run, but this week I suddenly got a weird urge to return to it out of nowhere. Still not looking forward to the Ice Worms bit, though.

Elden Ring, Returnal, and Total War: Warhammer I+II. Waiting for TW:WH III to get the map update before I really dive into it.

Recently started a NG++ run in Elden Ring, will play some of that. Downloaded Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition on Xbox so will play some of that as well. May try and squeeze in some more Kirby and the Forgotten Land also.

Been playing YS Book I/II on my Tubrografix mini.

My brother finally got his Series X, so I'm probably do some co-op in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands; other than that, I'll be using the weekend to clear out my backlog. Been meaning to finish Cyberpunk, but haven't touched in in almost a year. Since they released the 1.5 patch, might just start fresh.

yeah that is what happens to me. if I don't finish a game and I go back one year later I will start over.

I'll be playing Sonic Mania only because I'll be watching the new Sonic movie this weekend with my daughter. All Sonic gaming weekend for me and of course, some random gaming here and there.

I want to see it too. Sounds like it's better than the first.

I'm playing MLB The Show 22 and so far it is easily the best one in the franchise over the past 5 years or so. You can't always go off of reviews. The game gets bashed for feeling the "same", but what they don't say is that the playability, hitching, and lag is GREATLY reduced and for the first time in years the game plays smoothly and the animations look and feel great without freezing and the game getting hung up every 20 minutes online. Those are big things when you were almost done with a franchise.

Probably no games this weekend. Drumline show on Saturday, then I have a 5K race on Sunday. Maybe some Fortnite with the kids and MLB The Show 22 if I can squeeze some time in…

Ugh, Turbo Tax, maybe.

Finally finished with Mario Sunshine. On to Mario Galaxy tomorrow.

Super Metroid and Lego Star Wars.

After finishing as much as I wanted in Elden Ring at 166 hours in my first playthrough, I decided to take a break and work through Dying Light 1 again after getting super disappointed by the sequel. So much fun hacking away at these zombies. How did they drop the ball so hard for Dying Light 2? Ugh...

Halo Infinite and possibly Dirt 5. I'm going through all the side missions in Halo Infinite; I finished the campaign.

Kinda of doing a tradition playing Vice City since it's Easter Weekend.

Been a right struggle finding a game other than Warframe to play in my current mood. Regular old action games just don't do it for me; felt like they're trying to distract me with flashy particle effects, but it just came off as shallow and hollow. Subnautica: Below Zero was closer, but I was already 100% done with the game, and I struggled to come up with a building project to get stuck into. The closest was some kind of base in the dark scary cave below the coral reef, but it takes too much effort in a game I already played over a hundred hours of.

Still, it did point me in the right direction, and found that what I really needed was something narrative-rich and low-action to get immersed into. As such, I finally found the right game in Dreamfall Chapters. The second Dreamfall game was less a game and more an interactive novel, but the world-building and writing were top notch, and Chapters is much of the same. Had this in my GOG library for years, but never got in the right mood to play through it. This is first time I truly feel like I'm going to finish this game.

Just finished Kian's test in Marcuria and taking a break before starting the third Zoe chapter, where she met Lux for the first time.

Picked up dirt 5 on ps5 so that and replaying uncharted 4.

Been playing Skyward Sword HD, initially was really turned off by the controls but slowly started enjoying the game more. And the controls are still shit.

Playing Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy on Xbox One and Kirby and the Forgotten Land on Switch. Both are excellent games. Recently finished GotG but am replaying on NG+ for trying out different paths through the game and getting remaining achievements.

I just started Dirt 5, so I'll be busy with that. Taking a break from Halo Infinite.

Currently playing Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition. First Metro game, didn't have great first impressions but stuck with it and am really enjoying it.

Now moved onto 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, which so far is really cool.

@hrt_rulz01: Just finished Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Another excellent game. Very charming and very fun. In typical Nintendo fashion it’s mostly an easy game but does have some challenge if you want to get and do everything. I don’t mind this approach and it can be a pretty relaxing way to spend some time with. 9/10

@Archangel3371: just started getting back into it after playing Elden Ring. I’m enjoying the time attack levels, I feel like they give a decent challenge.

@SolidGame_basic: Yeah it’s fun trying to get best times on those. Some can be pretty tricky.

Finished GTA5 just recently, still a mofo of a game, started TLOU2 again, waiting for a fix for Horizon Godawful Jaggies

Spongebob and Diablo II. Finally have a decent druid summoner with the 2.4 update.

Finished Guardians of the Galaxy yesterday which was ok. Had a lot of charm, but also felt somewhat mediocre in certain areas (like gameplay and especially puzzle design).

Now I have mived on toTunic which is a bit of a dream game to me as I grew up on A link to the past. So far so good, a bit worried about the Dark Souls mechanics. But it hasn't been too brutal in the beginning at least. So glad a game like this has been made :)!
