What can save the Xbox ONE now??

Ive already listed the Xbone's potential saviors many times, but I guess i'll do it once more.

DX12, Cloud, Secret Sauce, Kinect 2.0, China.

What about the people that have an xbone but no internet. Please explain how the cloud will help them and how it is such a good idea to restrict your customers that way? Maybe you’re not a troll. Guess some people are just straight up dumb.

MS lost their momentum at E3 last year, and they will pay for it this gen. But lets not act like Sony did the improbable here, when they have dominated the US market twice before.

I like my X1 dude, but the stuff you're saying is really defensive, fanboy crap. The PS4 will have many games worth playing on it over its lifetime, like every Sony console. Its a better hobby when you divorce the corporation, and play the field.

Get rid of the Xbox Live paypwall (getting double charged to watch Netflix). Make it easier for indies to self-publish.

Forza 5 (cut the greedy ass microtransactions that are way over the top), Ryse, Dead Rising, Titanfall - Learn from the mistakes and shut up and put up 20 more of those. THAT'S IT!

I don't wanna be the xth person to say the Xbox One does not need saving, because that is pretty obvious considering it is selling more than the uber successful Xbox 360(damn, I said it.....), truth is, the PS4 is like the McDonadls of the videogame industry now, the most popular choice at the moment, but this does not mean the others are not doing well lol.

That being said, if I was the head of Xbox right now, and I had access to the billions$ of MS, and I wanted to boost the Xbox One profile and get people's attention, I would buy rights for a mega popular franchise.....I don't know, like Fallout 4 for example....exclusive to Xbox One, I think that would get some people's attention....how many big Fallout fans would boycott the game just because of their hate for Xbox? Not much I assume....anyways, it's just an example, though unrealistic, you get the point.....great games are what is needed...the more the better. I'm still not done with all the launch titles, and more is to come....looking forward to E3.....Cheers

LOL at the cloud and DX12... both will not greatly increase the GPU performance. Great if you want to to more processing on the CPU and great if you want to do distributed processing on a server somewhere for multiplayer only games.

It has nothing to do with the xbox. Without the original Xbox I would have never gotten to play Doom 3 or Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and those were my favorite games on the Original Xbox. I was in High school at the time and my PC was a Dell Dimension 3000 (P4 with 256mb of ram no dedicated GPU). So I'm very happy the xbox brand was around, otherwise I would have never gotten to experience those games.

The problem with dumbing down doesn't have anything to do with the actual hardware. It's in the attempt to attract the casual gamer or "Bro Gamer" and when I use "Bro Gamer" I'm referring to those guys just play Call of Duty and maybe madden, thats it. Give them anything complex or something that doesn't involve Marines or Athletes and they have no interest.

An example would be when a Bioware Employee stood in Gamestop and tried to get people interested in Mass Effect, most only wanted the mainstream shooter and had no interest in Mass Effect. That was posted years ago around 2007, I don't have the link but I remember it because I was so furious with what most people told that poor guy. While Sniper, I know you don't like jprg's and high fantasy, im not sure about your opinion about wrpg's. But I would think you would at least recognize that games like Mass Effect and the Witcher are more for the actual gamer crowd rather than the casual crowd. Same with single payer shooters like Bioshock, Metro 2033/last light, stalker and such. They provide much deeper experiences compared to the shallow mainstream shooters.

The problem is if you add up Mass Effect 1-3, Bioshock 1 + Infinite, Metro 2033/Last Light and Stalker sales, even all combined they can't even compete with Call of Duty. Thats why many devs try and go after those people, because they are a huge market. It sucks because people like you and me don't want those type of games, we want deeper experiences no matter what the genre.

Mainstream usually defeat everything. It's the same reason why Rock/Metal bands are constantly outsold by mainstream pop and rap artists. Even though they at many times rock/metal possess better singers, better song composers and more talent, Justin Beaber and 50 cent outsell them every time.

Gaming is no different unfortunately.

The problem with that is not everyone has a proper internet connection. There are many people who are stuck with Dial up or stupid low connection speeds with data caps.

MS can't have a game use the cloud for graphics rendering or physics calculations. They can use it like Forza 5 does with AI, but the game can function without it. They would eliminate a huge chunk of their possible sales if it had to use the cloud in real time. This is why "Cloud Rendering" will not happen with this gen or the next. I don't think it's not possible because our internet infrastructure in the U.S let alone the rest of the world is not ready yet. IPS's still have too much of a monopoly on areas to provide this service yet, and they don't serve all areas yet. I would be pissed as hell if Bioware announced Dragon Age Inquisition was a Xbox One exclusive because it relied on the cloud for graphics/physics calculations so it could not be played offline. I would not have a problem if they had an X1 deal and didn't use the cloud and could be played offline as I have all the consoles, but keeping a single player game connected online because it needs cloud rendering just is not feasible nor profitable.
