And the reason I use XBL over PSN is mainly because I use party chat/ private chat all the time and its something I find a lot of value in. Sorry if £26 a year for XBLive seems like pennies to me, but it does. I'm not prepared to settle for PSN when I know I can get something better with XBL.

Overall If you own a PS3 and a Vita and you don't have PS+ and you like to game, you are missing out.

I sold my ps3, before PS+ was introduced. So I never get chance to use it, seems to be good and cheap rental service. Unlike xbox live gold, which is straight ripoff. Microsoft puts online gaming behind paywall, you are renting part of games content.

I love PS+, I have two full years and I have so many games.  Going to continue for the third year, it's only $50.  I mean there are sometimes the chances of getting games I personally don't care for, like fighters, but when I have friends over they are great party games.

I had PS PLUS a year or two ago. It was a good service, I just don't play enough games to justify the price. Not that it's expensive or anything, I just never got the time to play the games. Either way, it looks like the service has more value then it used to. Probably a must for any avid PS3 users. No. So thats why I say the 360 is the better console: Because its provided the most games throughout the generation, not to mention a solid online the entire gen too. Compare that to the PS3 that only got good one half of the gen in terms of games and online, and you can see my reasoning.

Right now (2013), I'll hapily admit that for games the PS3 is better. But thats not gonna effect my decision, why should it when the PS4 and Next Xbox are coming out :lol:

Mainly what I am paying for is party chat/ private chat. I just can't imagine myself gaming online without it, especially since I moved overseas and like to keep in contact with my mates while we game.

So maybe Sony should have planned ahead and not came out with such a shoddy service that can't even handle party chat. Its hardly MY fault that the competition isn't capable of offering what I want :lol:

Not sure you understand what PS+ actually is. The games aren't "free" if you're paying a monthly/yearly fee to play them. They're not "free" if once you stop making payments you can't play them anymore. That's not the definition of "free" in my book. I guess cows think paying for a monthly service == "free" games.
