What game has the best graphics?

All of those games came out before the new scoring system, didn't they? Maybe I'm wrong. I don't really care if a linear adventure/cinematic game got a 10/10. Not really my cup of tea.

720p? These are 1080p if you open in a new tab.

Uncharted 4 is pretty damn good. I honestly don't need anything beyond its graphic capabilities.

UC4 looks so good that downscaling the resolution to X1 standards is simply not enough. We also need to up the brightness by 600%! Here's an idea, instead of turning it up, turn it down so it looks like an X1 game with crushed blacks all over the screen.


"10/10 ESSENTIAL" does a lot to some.

Ok, so let's really do some contrast and comparison here.

Blue sky with some rubble.

Some foliage with rocks.

A beach.

In a house. However, this is not indicative of all houses in The Witcher 3--this is a random peasant house.

Maybe you're right. I won't argue with you further on that. I disregard a lot of scores, also. I go by gameplay footage if I'm iffy about a game now-a-days.

Someone mentioned it in another thread, so that's why I assumed it. My bad for assuming that if that is not how they do game scores now.

Resolution altering never occurred, that was a false claim by a guy posting Witcher 1 shots as Witcher 3. Brightness altering, done by a gaming website, was only apparent in a handful of screengrabs in this thread out of dozens. Those few pictures were corrected in the last 2 pages with proper brightness, and look the same graphically.

"10/10 ESSENTIAL" seems to do a lot more to the Paranoia level in the fanboys of said game. Like petitions for bad scores, or thinking every post-release gameplay shot is altered because it doesn't look better than PC games.

@silversix_: Wow, I didn't know you rely so much on gaming journalism. Are you also a very big fan of polygon? I have heard they release some lovely footage of doom, showing how skilled they are when it comes to gaming.

The fact that uncharted 4 has worse foliage than an indie game, makes it even more amusing to laugh at these fanboys, who are pretending that uncharted 4 is the best looking game ever.

There's really no point in comparing UC4 to TW3. TW3 looks like an early gen multiplat, UC4 looks like a late-gen exclusive PS4 title.

Someone didn't pay attention to most of this thread.

I mean yea. As far as animations go, and overall game quality for that matter, uncharted is definitely better than division. But Division has lighting and texture work on it's side most of the time, and frankly given the open world and dynamic nature of the lighting elements especially, it's a far more technically impressive game where graphics are concerned, even at 1080p. Photomode shitposting really doesn't help your case any.

like to do photomode at lest do a close up of drakes face but dont alter the cam into a cinematic far away shoot and blur effects to make it all look better

I've played both TW3 and UC4. UC4 kills Witcher 3, no matter how much you cherry pick screenshots. Maybe like, 1% of the time it looks maybe up to par with a PS4 game. But most of the time, it looks like a PS3 game (as depicted below)

I wont go that far uncharted sea water looks nice but my point to all this is to show its not this gfx monster people say it is however the game is one of the best looking games this gen

You'd think though if Uncharted became a PC game it would have a chance of being more visually pleasing than The Witcher 3 though.

Technique is all there is. Subject matter is irrelevant for the most part. You can take a futuristic car, and stick it in a medieval world and still use the same art style.
