i dont like mouse and keyboard.

its too complicated for me.

I dont know how to custom make a pc.

I dont know where to buy the things.

I dont want to have to update my graphics card every few months, because I would do that if i had a PC.

I like the simplicity I get out of consoles, and the graphics are good enough for me.

I dont mind if the graphics are little watered down and there isnt mod support, because Im having FUN.

This one is easy, most console gamers are Kids, Teenagers, non technical adults and those without the means or knowledge to either buy or build a moderate or high end gaming rig.

I built my mid range rig two years ago for around 600, I build around every 2-3 years not just for gaming but I love fast and reliable systems. I don't want ANY downtime ever.

When I first got married my two stepsons had only played on their Xbox games like Halo etc.. I sat them down to play some Counter Strike Source, they were intimidated by the mouse and keyboard at first, but within 10 minutes they were rocking. Now they won't ever play a FPS on a console, they now claim that the control is slow, awkward and frustating.

PC's have become very affordable, a mid range gaming rig without monitor could be built for less than 400 dollars. BUT alot of hardcore PC gamers purchase Nintendo system because of the unique titles that aren't available any where else.

Okay. Go "Start - Control Panel - nVidia Control Panel".

On the "Global Settings" Tab, find "Maximum Pre-Rendered Frames".

Click on that, and use the window next to it to select the new number of frames.:)

topsemag55

Ati doesn't have a feature like that?D=

I dunno, mitu. I've been a nVidia user since day one.:P

Damn, another nVidia fanboy.

My PC is like 6 years old. I don't bother upgrading it since I don't have time to game that much anymore.

You can play those Nintendo titles on the PC with high resolution and AA+AF.

I'm already way too often in front of a PC. I work on a PC, internet browsing, etc. If I was gaming on PC too I would become sick. Plus PCs are not primarily made for gaming and consoles are more user friendly.

pomd1

I agree with you that consoles are more user friendly than PCs. However, I don't agree with PCs are not primarily made for gaming. That's up to the owner of the PC what it's primarily made for. You can make a PC primarily made for gaming, primarily made as a HTPC, primarily made for just browsing the internet, primarily made for video editing, etc. Most of those PC's that are sold at retail stores are not primarily made for gaming but more for general usage but still there are a few with gaming in mind. Also you can have a separate PC for work connected to your monitor, and a separate PC for gaming connected to your TV so that you are not in the same spot when using a PC for gaming.

That depends upon what you have on the mobo, plus what settings you choose.

I swear, mitu, no matter how many times we post that you can keep a CPU & GPU for several years, we still see claims like this about the PC.:P

I never mentioned the word so we are not talking about it.

But I am having fun playing old games in better resolution like Soul Calibur 2 which looks great for a 2003 console game.

You can still get moderated for implied emulation. They have done it to me before.

[QUOTE="pomd1"] I have 2 problems with your post. 1) Whatever the "Primary" use of a "Personal Computer" is ( I will just facepalm if you say office stuff ) that doesnt stop the so called "Secondary" use of a computer being games being better than machines that primarily do gaming... but then saying Gaming is primary is telling me im wrong about my equipment, my PC is Primary everything. 2) I find it ridiculous that someone who uses PCs alot would use the user freindly excuse. since you should already be at the point where there is little to know difference, just the occasional easily fixable error that can be googled for 90% of games.

So what? its a reality. ITs done, its possible, it exists. not being able to discuss this in SYSTEM WARS without the intentions of promoting is ridiculous.
