Planescape TormentregoregoWow. First I forgot to mention DQ8 and then I go and forget Planescape Torment too. I'm just having a really bad day, aren't I...
I loved Planescape. Morte FTW.
Not entirely sure but i think you can keep playing with your save. Only with the Journey (the original game with the extras), not the Answer, which is like a shorter new game that takes place after the original game.Oh yeah, quick question, I have the regular version of P3. I wanna get FES, but if I do, will I have to start all over or does it let me use my P3 save?
Skittles_McGee
Baldur's Gate II
Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria
FF7
Suikoden V
Skies of Arcadia
Breath of Fire 4
Titles I want to play:
-Planescape:Torment
-Vampire: Masquerade
-Knights of the Old Republic
and maybe some more...
I did say "including nostalgia" so I overlooked the comparison to later games in the series. For its time though, it was very entertaining.
Still, are you sure we're talking about the same game here? I only played one on the SNES and I'm not sure which one it was exactly (it was kind of translated... someone did it for me) and I don't remember it being that bad at all. Sure, by today's standards it'd fall short, but back then...

...they were still terrible. I know that it isn't wise for gamers to look at reviews but I really think that these hit them on the head.

At a time when games like Final Fantasy VI, Secret of Mana, Live a Live, Breath of Fire, Ys IV, Shining Force, and the likes were out this was truly unexceptable.
With Persona yeah that series has always been good but the II's were the ones that truly stepped it up and the III is what gave the series its mark and a breath of fresh air for all SMT's.
Can't name just one, too many to choose from. I'll narrow it down as best i can. Grandia 2, Final Fantasy X, Dragon Quest VIII, Persona 3 FES, Nocturne, Final Fantasy IX, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Skies of Arcadia. Any one of those will do.

I'm struggling with Grandia 2, not because its hard, but because it takes me like 30 min to go through each story text box to look up all the kanji.
I would sell it back and get the western version, but I'm looking at the script and they totally misconstrued the characters. Probably one of the worst translations I've ever seen. :s
Same here, it's just the same thing over and over again. Back when Red/Blue was out I only needed 150 pokemon but now it just ridiculous.:PUnless they change it up some....I can't see myself wanting to buy another pokemon after putting in a 150+ hours on Diamond.

I still don't know why I did it this time. I think Nintendo slipped something into my drink or something. How the heck did they con me out of 150 hours of life playing the same game I did 10 years ago.

I actually wasted over 250 hours of gameplay because my file got corrupted for unknown reason.:? Anyway I got back into the Pokemon series because of one main reason "Wifi capability", but after trying it out I won't be getting the next one unless there is a huge change of some sort.
Interesting to note that those who list their nominees for fav RPG have a clear bias either towards console RPGs, or PC RPGs. Where's the cross-platform love?
After Vampire: Bloodlines -- The Masquerade, I'd probably say KotOR was my fav RPG, followed by FFVIII and then Baldur's Gate.
I really liked FFXII, mainly due to the amazing combat. but FFX was good too. Tough decision.
I'll just say FFXII. :D

If you play VII be prepared for a confusing translation.
First rpg i ever played was FF& : Crisis Core... so it would have to be that :)RingX5

You need to find better RPGs and fast.

Pretty much. This is how understandings such as "JRPG's never innovate" or "Developers rarely make WRPG's anymore outside the 360".
