[QUOTE="CaseyWegner"][QUOTE="kage_53"][QUOTE="CaseyWegner"]That why dont you explain yourself than with your "FF7 last great Square game" stuff.and you still haven't said how you're somehow more able to know what i meant than i am.

i mean exactly what i said. ff7 was a masterpiece and they've not had anything since that's been in the same league. they've made good games since but nothing all that special, imo.
Yeah. The closest since then was FFX but even then that was too linear to be up there with FF7. There's a reason so many people keep pining for an FF7 remake or legitimate sequel.
I dont really get how could you call FFX more linear than 7. Both dont require decision making that impacts the game severly and since when was linearity a bad thing. Most games are linear except for WRPGs and strategy rpgs. It's because its their first FF game or JRPG.Sony and Nintendo:)Andres001
The Mother of all mergers......I cry thinking about the joy that could come from it.
Panzer Zwei you read the recent article on Shenmue at IGN, did you not?
To be honest, I really hope they bring out the third one.
FrozenLiquid
It would seriously be more realistic for SEGA launching a new console or handheld then a Shenmue 3 *pretty much shows the chances*. The first one lost them tens of millions, thent hey had big enough balls to release a sequel which also flopped and had them loose money, now do you think they'll make a third one and do it with next-gen development costs.
That list isn't even fair. Add Blizzard to anything, and they'll make it rock balls.
Blizzard + Bioware = Best RPG ever.
Blizzard + Valve = Best shooter ever.
Blizzard + McDonalds = Best french fries ever.
Blizzard + Nintendo + id + Star Wars + Lord of the Rings = Something so insanely incredible my mind is unable to comprehend it.
*Head explodes*
[QUOTE="Panzer_Zwei"][QUOTE="FrozenLiquid"]Not gonna happen. If one of the console manufacurers was funding it it would happen. Why on earth they would do that? we're not talking about a hit that SEGA can't afford to fund anymore, we're talking about a gaming disaster that made them lost more money than any other game in their history.Panzer Zwei you read the recent article on Shenmue at IGN, did you not?

kage_53
If Shenmue didn't sell before, why would it sell now? specially since it's sold so poorly that the mayority of people haven't played the previous 2 parts.
EA and Activision.. just imagine it..
There combined power would ensure that Madden would have monthly releases, "I can't wait for Madden July 2009. it has a new player!"
And I'm sure they would be able to push out an amazingly large amount of movie games. Brokeback Mountain.. The game!

They actually would i think. lol.

Blizzard without Lord of the Rings would be dead.
Warcraft relies heavily on D&D, which relied heavily on LotR.
Wish the fantasy writers would be more creative.

Elder Scrolls has done it to some extent. Apart from what happened in Oblivion.
Example: dwarves aren't any variation of short, big beards etc. They're still technical geniuses though.
They're the Dwemer for anyone confused.
Nintendo and Sega. Excellent Sega IPs being given that extra level of quality that Nintendo games along with Nintendo games all on one console would make for one of the greatest systems ever. I would love for that to happen.HoffgodGoodness no! worst nightmare!

Do you think Bioware has been on the same level since KOTOR?

How so?
oware has been on the same level since KOTOR?
Shusty_lives
They've only made one game since then which was Jade Empire, they didn't make Knights of the Old Republic II, Obsidian did.
[QUOTE="Shusty_lives"][QUOTE="CaseyWegner"][QUOTE="Shusty_lives"]lighten up Justin Timberlake. Im not here to pick on you, just saying you came off fanboyish. I mean you said Bioware should do the work and Square should just put the name on the label is for the best. I would've took that as a joke, but then you went on to say Square hasn't been much since FF7. I thought you was on a roll until you said Xenogears writing was bad. That's was when I saw you being bias against SE.
CaseyWegner
liking something more than something else does not make one a fanboy for what he prefers. i also wasn't stating it as if it were a fact.
Like prefer a PS3 over a Xbox360, yet he is called a cow? Nevermind this just going to go to a whole nother topic. Good night.
no. prefering a ps3 over an xbox 360 does not make somebody a cow.
But it is enough to call him one.
Im still hoping that sega and nintendo merge, even though sega sucks now.
Can you imagine if they merged in 2001 when sega still made great games:shock:
Casey, why do want S-E to merge with Bioware if you haven't like any games since FF7? All you want is Bioware to make the games and just have the S-E name on the box?
That makes no sense to me, the only difference would be the games may sell more because of the S-E name, and sales don't matter.
ANd S-E is still my favorite company, I loved all main FFs and Kingdom Hearts is my favorite series, along with FF, so I still think they make great games, not saying you're opinion is wrong, just saying my opinion.
I want a Sony and Nintendo merger, then I would only have to buy one console.
ID and Crytek
Duke Nukem using the Crytek engine :o
can you comprehend the awesomeness?! but of course this would be after DNF whenever the hell it decides to come out.
