Second place goes to the Metroid Prime Trilogy, simply off the strength of the first two. Anyway, this has been, since its release, the most underrated RPG series ever imo due to the reverance that Xenogears is held in. If people would let go of their nostalgia for Xenogears they might be able to better appreciate the awe that is Xenosaga.

Metroid Prime Trilogy and Stalker.

Metroid Prime. It's probably the closest I've seen a game get to perfection -- not once, but three times. Fantastic gameplay, the dialogue/cutscenes aren't intrusive and don't overstay their welcome, the level design is great, the shooting is alright, it has the best of backtracking we all loved from the classic Metroidvania games, the combat is good and the pacing is perfect. I can't place a flaw on it, I kid you not.

I would say God of War but I think a 4th games is being announced anytime. And I would say Half-Life but nobody knows how much will the 3rd game take.

I'm going with the first Spyro trilogy on the PS One.

I enjoyed the Prime trilogy. Just like to add that the first one was ahead of its time. A brilliant game, indeed.

Mass Effect. The ending to the trilogy is urgh but the journey to get there is beyond anything I've ever seen from a game.

If Sonic 3 & Knuckles counts as one game rather than two, the Sonic Genesis trilogy. If not, the answer is the Streets of Rage trilogy. Both just take a dump on all other game series in existence.

Diablo after the release and extensive playtrough of Diablo III. Atm., it's a tossup between the Gothic trilogy and the STALKER trilogy.

And Xenosaga is nothing compared to Xenogears., which is the greatest RPG released on consoles ever. I don't feel any nostalgic feelings for it.

Warcraft is another good one.

Hard to say.. there's not THAT many video game trilogies as most games are either 1-2 franchises or 4 or even 5+ (e.g. Metal Gear, Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto) Those are the real best franchises in gaming so there aren't that many that just stop at 3.

I suppose God of War or Metroid Prime.. but I feel a 4th of both coming soon...

I can't think of one franchise that's had consistent quality throughout 3 games.

Since I can't list S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I will list Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Mass Effect is 2nd, even if the ending is possibly the worst way to end the series.

I can't think of a trilogy where all three games are of high quality. So I pick Uncharted since at least two games are really good.
