Firstly, i own all 3 consoles, so no fanboy here as my 360 probably gets the most play time. I just don't get why people are so excited about them being ripped off for what is, at its core a $60 DLC :?.
Whats so special about it?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
there is nothing wrong with the hype lemmings are just trying to push their product like cows push uncharted
as long as u dont play or buy the game then it should have no effect on you
i will admit i fell for the hype when halo 3 came out bought it and hated it i was never a fan of the story and only bought the game for its multiplayer but i just didnt like it like i did halo 2 online
but i will not fall for the halo hype again lol
At least it's a new campaign with a new protaganist. But I see your point. I don't understand why everyone is hyped about having to buy the first two GoW games again, instead of demanding BC for their PS3's.cainetao11That's a good point. When Cows are actually hyping buying and then playing the same bloody games again which are only from last gen, why would Cows begrudge Lemmings the marginal interest that Halo: ODST is getting?
I don't get it either. I don't even own a PS3 and I love my 360. The world really doesn't need another Halo game. I wish they would just let the Master Chief die.
NOTE: I am aware that ODST doesn't involve the Master Chief, but they still need to put the franchise down for a few more years.
You can be a fanboy and still own all of the consoles.
ODST looks like a solid shooter in the Halo Universe with a very unique twist on the single player. I'm not thinking AAA but its going to be good.

I'm not saying it doesn't look ok, my main point is the fact that for a tiny campaign and a handful of new maps, your paying $60. Which is pathetic. Take Lost And Damned, good length campaign, new additions to the single player and more multiplayer modes, all for $20 (1600 MS Points).

At least with GoW you get HD and Trophies. You get way more in the ELC for GTA that just shows you whose milking who.

Wow. Just wow.

I can't believe that game is still 60 dollarsprovides more gameplay than a couple of 60$ games i know (Heavenly Sword anyone?).

I can't believe that game is still 60 dollars that is crazy indeed.the reason for the hype for halo odst is the same reason there was hype for halo wars, it has halo in the name, heck if they made a halo kitty island aventure game it would probably sell a million, with that being said i was watching a guy play halo odst last night and it look incredibly polished
I'm a Halo fan. Was it really necessary to call me an idiot because I value something you don't? Say hi to the Mods for me. and apparently they are babies too who cant take critisism. wanna play me? ill make you cry even more.I can take critisism. "Hey you need to work on your MP skills; You can't shoot in COD4; Wow, you need to work on your defense in NHL 10." What you did was insult others who don't share your opinion of somethings value. We try to have a community here even if we argue or back different systems, we try to respect each other. Try to breathe and grasp that notion.[QUOTE="cainetao11"][QUOTE="kobraka1"]
there is nothing special about it. any other franchise and it would be a discounted price. but microsoft knows that halo fanboys are idiots and will spend full price for half a game.
wanna know how important halo is? halo ce didnt become a platnium hits til halo 2 came out. it didny drop in price til then either. crimson skies, mech assault, and brute force were greatest hits before halo. these games were like 2 holidays into the xbox lifecycle. thats pathetic.

I dont like halo so for me yes problem? We're not talking about what you like, we're talking about value here. I don't like MGS4 (or any MGS game I've ever played, for that matter), so am I correct if I say that it's just a stupid waste of money for anyone who buys it? Repacking games that aren't even a gen old with achievements and a resolution increase AFTER removing BC from a console just strikes me as squeezing the udder until it turns blue - and being THANKED for it!Rza_rectah

Wow. Just wow. I dont like halo so for me yes problem? No problem. I love GoW, but still know the all holy Sony is MILKING the fans instead of giving them what they started in the first place, BC. No instead we polish up PS2 games and sell them for $20 bucks a piece. And they said xbox originals are over priced at $15.[QUOTE="Shafftehr"][QUOTE="Rza_rectah"] because ODST is over priced DLC. [QUOTE="Jandurin"][QUOTE="h575309"]I can't believe that game is still 60 dollars that is crazy indeed. Thats just one example though. Could come up with plenty. Anyway, its Halo. Tons of people will buy it. Im not saying it will be an AAA must have game. Im personally buying it, but Im not hyping it to hell and back. I like Co-Op games, personally, there more fun than death match MP. And have always enjoyed Bungie's work. Theres plenty of games coming out that are basically rehashes, yet people love them as well (Metroid Trilogy). Not even new content, yet people arent complaining about the 50 dollars. Your not forced to buy it, plus we get Halo Reach beta, which I have no doubt in my mind will be epic. So yea, its pretty much a segway to Reach, but its a nice little Halo nugget to keep my satisfied.provides more gameplay than a couple of 60$ games i know (Heavenly Sword anyone?).

I'd buy Halo Kitty Island.the reason for the hype for halo odst is the same reason there was hype for halo wars, it has halo in the name, heck if they made a halo kitty island aventure game it would probably sell a million, with that being said i was watching a guy play halo odst last night and it look incredibly polished
linkin_guy109
Probably because it is going to be great... It is overpriced for what it is, but it still will have a lot of great things included in it.LTomlinson21
well if it has halo on the name it has to be good and thats a FACT

I don't know what all the hype's about. I fell in with the halo 3 hype because of the commercials and the halo backstory, and Surprise! The singleplayer was lackluster and short. And the Co-op that I was excited for was stupid because you could only play it with somebody on your friends list. My god, that made me mad. Halo:odst is going to be the same thing.

ODST hypes? i saw more hates on here than hypes. It's from bungie, i like it. im hyping it AA. There's a hype thread I made a few days ago, go back and check if you wanna know why.
he was talking about heavenly sword but halo is overpriced too.Rza_rectahyeah, heavenly sword was the game i was shocked was still 60
hes not asking for hype scores he is asking why is this game getting hyped. Mainly because of the dry spout that the 360 has seen all year in exclusives.ODST hypes? i saw more hates on here than hypes. It's from bungie, i like it. im hyping it AA. I'd gladly pay $40 odd or however much its going to be for the GOW re-release then ODST.
Ok, i agree on a new campaign, but dude, it's the exact same multiplayer as Halo, with a like 3 new maps..
