most of the 360 games are on/coming to the PC (GeOW, Halo 3 etc.)... i have a good gaming PC, so... why buy a 360 instead of a PS3 or Wii?

Gears of War and Halo 3 are still 360 exclusive, even though they may one day go to PC. Though PC will always be my favourite, I can understand why some people would choose 360. Exclusives, the generally lower price, and the increased simplicity in using a console compared to a PC.

cause there's alot of games that aren't comming to the pc or are better on a console.

call of duty 3
dead rising
gears of war (may port, but come on it's a port)
Saint's Row
DOA4
Perfect Dark
PGR4
Forza
Halo3
Every sports game (some are on PC, but 90% of the time better on a console)
Halo Wars (I wish this game would be released on pc)

if this list hasn't at least sparked some of your interest you shouldn't call your self a gamer.
I heard alot of people say the same thing about the xbox but I never saw any problems with it since I never wanted to play half-life 2 on my xbox and never wanted to play GTA on my pc.

a good gaming PC isn't enough for the new PC games Epic says UT3 is being made to run at it's optimum settings on PCs that will come out a year after the game :lol:

thats another problem with PCs. a GOOD PC will only run top games on max for what a year if that ? A good gaming PC will NOT run Crysis or Unreal T 3 on max.

The is by most peoples reasoning to have a 360 is only to have Halo..

I cant think of one genre that anyone would name just to own a PC there is more games, there are better games, there is the future of haveing 360 games on PC because M$ wont miss out on a easy buck.

The reason there isnt Halo 2 on PC is because its competeting aganst games that are far better then it..

Battle feild -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Halo

If you cant see it then go play a million more WW2 games and Sci-fi shooters on your Xbox360.... The 360 is made by the PC company, it will be nothing more then a smaller PC.... Louder, but smaller....

BF and Halo are totally different games you can't really compare them. And BF sucks, it is only good single player but then the Bots are stupid. Your shots don't register on BF2 Dedicated servers. The PC is much louder than the Xbox360, it really depends on how hot your PC gets and how much cooling you need. (You probably need a lot)

I didn't claim ownage. I'm merely stating that Mass Effect will be coming to PC. If you don't want to wait 2 years, go ahead and buy a 360 and play it. Hell, I might do that myself.

Well...not really. It wasn't the same game, just a series of spin-off games. Which I suspect is what will happen with Crysis - there's no point porting a game that will barely run on a 360 when they can make a similar, less graphically intensive game that focuses on the 360's strengths, rather than a gaming PC's strengths.

M$ makes a heck of a lot more money off Vista then it does off of a 360 sale. If they get a bunch of people to buy Vista then it would be worth it for them.

And I agree. If Gears come it WILL probably be after Gears 2. My point was that both have a chance to have what the other does. I also agreed that 360 exclusives are a very real reason to own a 360, and that it's not nearly as good owning games years after on the PC when you can have them on Xbox sooner.

Even if Gears, Mass Effect, and Halo 3 are ported to PC. It will likely not be for along time to come and there are so many other games that will not go to PC.

Whats the point of having a PS3 when all the exclusives are comming to the Xbox360, then you could then say what is the point of getting an Xbox360 if all those games are comming to the PC.

Ffs why do people start these threads - this WAS flamebait.

A. GeoW has a large probabality that its comming to PC. See threads about it recently? Hell event he Nvidia drivers had GeoW stuff on em - plus there are plenty of other signs.... Besides Epic have a large PC fanbase why let it slide by?

B. No a 360 is louder than an average PC.
My Soprano case has 3 fans + GPU fan + CPU fan + PSU fan, and its MUCH quieter than a 360... And my fans are on stock speed not the 'silent' settings. Ive compared the two in the same room... I know first hand.

C. Mass Effect will come to PC. Like it or not look at Biowares history. Same goes for Halo 3 - that will eventually go to PC.

D. Crysis will get a console spinoff - it wont look as good as the PC version, and I doubt it will be better than Crysis - but yes its bound to happen.

If console gamers love to say their exclusives - Which ironically most are PC bound - Guess what? PC has STACKS more - more titles, more genres, more AAAs...
PC is in a totally different legue compared to consoles...

Don't you guys realize that if Epic is a multiplat company and they go to PC with Gears of War, microsoft will not make any money.
I hate it when people use the term "M$" it is so stupid. Microsoft is actually losing billions of dollars like Sony in the gaming industry.
The only greedy console maker is Nintendo, they are making millions.

You havent even played them and you think they suck, I on the other hand have been to Halo 1 and 2 LANS there only fun becasue your playing with people in the same room. There not fun because Pistol owns most of the guns.

Oh NOTHING beats a PC Lan.

Ive lost count of the amount of Halo CE, and Halo 2 system link Lans ive been to, and ive been to WAY to many Lans (basically just get togethers with mates though) - and PC Lans TOTALLY RIP APART Xbox system links.

Seriously - the atmosphere is both great at both - great people at both - but the games at PC lans are much better..
They make Halo look like a simpletons game.

I have BF2 and a lot of other PC FPS games. Don't judge too quickly. Microsoft's and Sony's gaming division are losing billions left and right. Trust me, go look it up.

Im a big fan of FPS games and I have played and own a lot HL2,CS.16, CS:S, BF2, Doom 3, Halo, Halo 2, FEAR... Lots more.

Thats different because they usually arent a casual crowd anymore. With PC lans you usually have a more competitive crowd, Halo can have the same thing. But they are in tournaments.

Don't you guys realize that if Epic is a multiplat company and they go to PC with Gears of War, microsoft will not make any money.
I hate it when people use the term "M$" it is so stupid. Microsoft is actually losing billions of dollars like Sony in the gaming industry.
The only greedy console maker is Nintendo, they are making millions.

Your right they should lose money on there only products. Damn them for not running them selfs into the ground Also, saying that BF single player is better then its multiplayers stupid..... BF2's single player is more or less an AI ran multiplayer game... You havent even played them and you think they suck, I on the other hand have been to Halo 1 and 2 LANS there only fun becasue your playing with people in the same room. There not fun because Pistol owns most of the guns.

I have BF2 and a lot of other PC FPS games. Don't judge too quickly. Microsoft's and Sony's gaming division are losing billions left and right. Trust me, go look it up.

Im a big fan of FPS games and I have played and own a lot HL2,CS.16, CS:S, BF2, Doom 3, Halo, Halo 2, FEAR... Lots more.

You have the game and know nothign about it. Wow you have alot of FPS's for your PC.... Gratz? I didnt say they weren't, microsoft just started to make money on there non-core modle, JUST AFTER A YEAR OF NO COMPETITION THEY HAVE SOLD A PATHETIC AMOUNT!!! Nintendo made the console around the average joe and around my entire PC lan house hold. Where the only question when it comes to upgrading a PC or buying a console is the Wii, because it cost as much and a good dual core these days. Dont assume am assuming. Savy?

Sony is losing over 300 dollars per premium PS3. Xbox360 use to lose over 200 dollars for every 360.

Plenty of reasons. Off the top of my head... Kameo, PGR 3, DOA 4, Dead Rising, Viva Pinata, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Lost Planet, Forza 2, Eternal Sonata, Cry On, Banjo Kazooie and Infinate Undiscovery.

I am not talking about BF2 because I was a BS game and although it was a good single player FPS. It got boring and the multiplayer was too laggy for my taste. I prefer less people because server connections are better and its usually less random. Guess 32 vs 32 isnt for me, heck 16vs16 isnt for me.

Then go back to playing golden eye on your 64, XBL has more lag then most PC games ever will including BF2. Dont blame your PC chopping out on the server, most of those servers are Dual dore Xeons just like the 360, and all they do its host BF2 games.

most of the 360 games are on/coming to the PC (GeOW, Halo 3 etc.)... i have a good gaming PC, so... why buy a 360 instead of a PS3 or Wii?

The argument works both ways. Whats the point in obtaining a gaming PC when I have an Xbox 360? PC gaming and console gaming are very different, and its a matter of taste.

well..there sure are some reasons to get 360 even if you have pc, but honestly..it's the last console to buy for most pcgamers...even psp is better choice
