I like owning both, but it depends on what you want. If the only games you want on 360 are games like Bioshock, Alan Wake, and other 360/PC games, and you have a high end PC, than you shouldn't get a 360. However, if you are interested in Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Halo 3, Banjo Threeie, Gears of War, Eternal Sonata etc., games not for PC, than its worth owning both.Janimba

If you have a high-end PC and you don't care about waiting for ports of the 360 games which are not likely to happen very quickly (just look at Halo 2) then I would say there is no reason to a buy a 360.  The only reason people like myself will buy a 360 or any console for that matter is that we either prefer the feel of a console over a PC or we can't afford a high-end pc that can handle those games on decent settings.  Also with a console there is one standard that never changes so every gamer will have the fullest experience instead having to shell out $2000 so they don't have to tweak the game settings to make it run decently on their PC.

Oblivion us multiplatform, and i hate mods, have spoilt too many games to use any, plus the right word is "had", which i agree with, Lands of Lore, Diablo 2, BG2, Ultima are the greatest rpg's of old, with FF on PS1, but we talk next gen here, pc RPG's quality is below zero bar two-three games, when all 360 RPG's looks STUNING

So, care to name those amazing pc rpg's, other than Dragon Age and Hellgate ?

I heard alot of people say the same thing about the xbox but I never saw any problems with it since I never wanted to play half-life 2 on my xbox and never wanted to play GTA on my pc.

most of the 360 games are on/coming to the PC (GeOW, Halo 3 etc.)... i have a good gaming PC, so... why buy a 360 instead of a PS3 or Wii?

If you have a high-end PC and you don't care about waiting for ports of the 360 games which are not likely to happen very quickly (just look at Halo 2) then I would say there is no reason to a buy a 360. The only reason people like myself will buy a 360 or any console for that matter is that we either prefer the feel of a console over a PC or we can't afford a high-end pc that can handle those games on decent settings. Also with a console there is one standard that never changes so every gamer will have the fullest experience instead having to shell out $2000 so they don't have to tweak the game settings to make it run decently on their PC.

Oblivion us multiplatform, and i hate mods, have spoilt too many games to use any, plus the right word is "had", which i agree with, Lands of Lore, Diablo 2, BG2, Ultima are the greatest rpg's of old, with FF on PS1, but we talk next gen here, pc RPG's quality is below zero bar two-three games, when all 360 RPG's looks STUNING

So, care to name those amazing pc rpg's, other than Dragon Age and Hellgate ?

if this list hasn't at least sparked some of your interest you shouldn't call your self a gamer.
I heard alot of people say the same thing about the xbox but I never saw any problems with it since I never wanted to play half-life 2 on my xbox and never wanted to play GTA on my pc.

Mass Effect is going to be on PC, as is Fable 2.
Blue Dragon is nowhere as good as the legendary RPGs let alone Oblivion on 360.............

No Fable 2 and Mass Effect are not going to pc, they are not announced even !!!! And if they ever do, will be 2 generations ahead, in 2-3 years, so who would care at that point ?

Plus 360 gets both Bioshock and Fallout 3, and a Dragon Age psin off too

That leaves 360 with all pc rpg's, and pc with none, and only Dragon Age to be any good, as Blue Dragon or Lost Odyssey, plus Oblivion is a lot of generic, not that i do not love it, but Blue dragon will be ... different and as good, with more directed gameplay but still wide open spaces to explore
