Sheep always say that wii sales benefit them in a way in which game developers will see the success of the wii and develop quality games for their console. Where are these games? In development?

All I've seen is a downgraded 360 port from '06. Don't tell me that only Nintendo benefits from it's sales and not the consumer who expected a sleu of excellent 3rd party games due to their investments success.:o

Nintendo are picking up multiplatforms and exclusives.

Mad World, No More Heroes, Fatal Frame 4, Zack & Wiki, and Fragile are a few good examples of third party games that have made their way to the Wii thanks to tidy sales.

Wii fans also benefit from genres of games unavailable on other systems. Monster Lab, Zack & Wiki, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Lightsaber Duels are a few good examples.

It's Wii's unique nature that benefits from sales the most.

From Capcom:

- Do you have anything else apart from this, neopets, Spyborgs and MH3 planned for wii anytime soon?

You forgot Megaman 9… but again, at any one time, you only know about half the games we have in development. That's all I'll say on this.

Speaking of Multiplatforms, high sales are now making developers consider the Wii as the dominant platform. For example, Pro Evolution Football 2008 is much better on the Wii.

Wii Music contributes to Wii sales. Third party developers decide independently which platform is most profitable, which is increasingly Nintendo Wii.

That's how it works. /thread

You may not like it but there is a big demand for games like Wii music. It helping Nintendo keep their lead.

I disagree. I think that Nintendo are moving upstream into the hardcore market very slowly with the Wii. They only started where they did to capture the initial audience, which was a success.

It's called a disruption strategy. Nintendo's competitors won't be able to compete with Nintendo's hardcore games as Nintendo will have a much larger install base. They won't be able to compete for that install base either as it is not very profitable.

Remember that in 4 years, a 14 year old gamer turns 18. Nintendo will move with that demographic in tow.

Why do that when they can just do what they did this gen and make more money? All the powerful consoles this gen that blows wii out of the water in every shape way and form are selling like crap compared to the wii.

Conduit has more potential then most generic shooters such as CoD, GeoW or Halo. Wii-motion sensing and visuals that surpass Halo 3 will make for a better experience.

Animal Crossing is infact a very good game, why you mention it is beyond me. Oh wait... you're another lemkid or cow in denial. How surprising.

yeah, Nintendo will definitly have HD graphics next gen. It will make more sense too because more people will have HD tv's. I doubt they will have a card better than PS4 or 720, or probably even 360, but it'll be closer just the same. Hopefully then people will stop blaming consoles for bad graphics and start blaming the developers, where the blame usually belongs anyway. (and im talking mostly about the PS3/360 graphic bickering. These systems are so close graphically its hard to tell which is 'better' at graphics)

CB4McGusto

Honestly, I think the lack of AAA titles also has a lot to do with a lot of the 3rd parties simply being caught with their pants down. Triple A take a lot of time to develop; Many years in fact. For them to have been announced/released by now, it would have meant that they were in development/planning before/shortly after the Wii was released. However, nobody, besides Nintendo, expected the Wii sales to be so strong, and anyone who did should be buying lottery tickets.

However, the good news is, now that the industry has seen the rise of the Wii, I'm sure many plans and budgets have been shifted and adjusted, and triple A titles should be in their pipeline (though not ready to be announced). This means soon, you should be flooded with the titles from the franchises you're familiar with, and ones that aren't just spinoffs.

Have a little patience and faith in the little white console that could. I know I am. 'Lost' - Community Specialist, Capcom Entertainment, Inc.

"...every shape way and form..." Hmm. How did Wii get a GOY then? Oh, how come PS3 and 360 don't have 100% backwards compatibility? Can't those systems handle it?

And regarding motion controls, those systems can't touch it. (When you have the mental capicity to see beyond 'gwafics!' and pay attention to other hardware, you can appreciate the hardware choices Nintendo made)

son, you obviously know nothing about shooters. Conduit has less prospects than Killzone 2

Dead rising, The Conduit, Star Wars Clone Wars, Castlevania Judgement, Tale of Symphonia Dawn of the New World, Mad World, De Blob, Deadly Creatures, and Mushroom Men are a few exclusives that devs are bringing to the Wii. What on that list is funny the only games I see on there which I don't plan to buy is Dead Rising and SW Clone Wars.

But TOS, Mad World, De blob and Mushroom Men look like very good games. I will add that I plan to get King's Story also.

Ok, maybe I was a little harsh, it's just that none of these games interest me. I guess that people who only had a gamecube last gen will be satisfied with the Wii's third party support.

Actually the Gamecube had a lot of multiplats from third partys last gen that the Wii is missing out on because of the lower tech.

I don't know. Maybe when Capcom starts giving games exclusive to the 360 and they were reluctant to port to the PS3 to the Wii. Or If Sega uses the Wii as the lead platform on one of their multiplat games. Or when Capcom gives online franchises historically exclusive to Sony which are huge in Japan to the Wii. Or a bunch of interesting games with a lot of potential are announced. But I don't see that ever happening. Nah, Nintendo will never reap the benefits of their sales.

Ohh... Wait...

[QUOTE="CB4McGusto"]

[QUOTE="wooooode"]Dead rising, The Conduit, Star Wars Clone Wars, Castlevania Judgement, Tale of Symphonia Dawn of the New World, Mad World, De Blob, Deadly Creatures, and Mushroom Men are a few exclusives that devs are bringing to the Wii. Without sales devs would just overlook the Wii and not even attemt anything new. vicmackey39

The conduit, DEr Blob, Mushroom Men and Deadly Creatures?

That's some high quality third party support right there

Yeah sheep have such low standards nowadays.

De Blob? Honestly? You mean the game that I downloaded for free on my PC, played for 5 minutes, realized how pointless and boring it was and uninstalled?

That's your 3rd party hyped game?

I own all three systems. Either way no matter the system these would be games I am looking forward to.
