Never

It's the rest of us that benefit from getting all the good games while Sheep are stuck with Animal Crossing City Folk and The Conduit

ng1234

Conduit has more potential then most generic shooters such as CoD, GeoW or Halo. Wii-motion sensing and visuals that surpass Halo 3 will make for a better experience.

Animal Crossing is infact a very good game, why you mention it is beyond me. Oh wait... you're another lemkid or cow in denial. How surprising.

I would love to see a comparison showing this...

Hahahahaha:lol: I Love this place so much:lol:

vicmackey39

son, you obviously know nothing about shooters. Conduit has less prospects than Killzone 2

Before you open your mouth again why don't you try researching the company that's making the game and seeing what it's uip against on rival systems

Well at least it will controll 10 times better then all those games. It counts a lot too.

What on that list is funny the only games I see on there which I don't plan to buy is Dead Rising and SW Clone Wars.

But TOS, Mad World, De blob and Mushroom Men look like very good games. I will add that I plan to get King's Story also.

Wii fans also benefit from genres of games unavailable on other systems. Monster Lab, Zack & Wiki, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Lightsaber Duels are a few good examples.

It's Wii's unique nature that benefits from sales the most.

Are you kidding me? Metroid Prime 3 is an uncontrolable mess when you first start off and it is far less precise than KB/M. There's also the fact that you have to constantly point at the screen while shooting which is far from comfortable

The only possible way is with better support from developers after they see the install base.

Though, it hasn't happened yet and it might not start to happen.

[QUOTE="FunkyHeadHunter"]Next gen might be incredible. With the Wii sales so good and NIN making so much money I hope that they come back next gen and make a great fun powerful console that blows everyone away. But untill then....the Wii is pretty niceTony-Harrison

I disagree. I think that Nintendo are moving upstream into the hardcore market very slowly with the Wii. They only started where they did to capture the initial audience, which was a success.

It's called a disruption strategy. Nintendo's competitors won't be able to compete with Nintendo's hardcore games as Nintendo will have a much larger install base. They won't be able to compete for that install base either as it is not very profitable.

Remember that in 4 years, a 14 year old gamer turns 18. Nintendo will move with that demographic in tow.

Well done, Malestrom would be proud

Sheep always say that wii sales benefit them in a way in which game developers will see the success of the wii and develop quality games for their console. Where are these games? In development?

All I've seen is a downgraded 360 port from '06. Don't tell me that only Nintendo benefits from it's sales and not the consumer who expected a sleu of excellent 3rd party games due to their investments success.:o

CB4McGusto

There is no benefit we just say it so we can use it as an arguement on system wars

I don't think there will be a benefit, its just nice to know that our console is winning in sales

That's some high quality third party support right there

Yeah sheep have such low standards nowadays.

De Blob? Honestly? You mean the game that I downloaded for free on my PC, played for 5 minutes, realized how pointless and boring it was and uninstalled?

That's your 3rd party hyped game?

Wii version will be superior due to motion sensing. So don't compare please.

Fallout 3? Kiddo's these days play any game that contains blood, violence gore and sex.. and put a ''hardcore'' tag on it.

De Blob and Mushroom Men will entertain me more. Fun-factor wise De Blod > Fallout 3. Violence isn't fun.

I see your at it again.

As I said before, De Blob on the Wii is far different that De Blob on the Wii and as I said before, I'm not interesting in the title.

Go look at IGN's preview if you want, its hardly 'crap'.

Then again, its a different story if the game doesnt appeal to you. Doesnt appeal to you =/= crap.

sony's PS3 is very powerful, and because of it, sony make a loss on each console

but ultimately the consumer gets a better console

i guess, if nintendo want to, they can create a powerful console next gen and afford to make a loss on it, to the benefit of the consumer .. kindof like if the wii was as powerful as the other consoles this gen, it would surely be a lot better for sheep

this is just one argument for why nintendo's profits benefit gamers

I tell you it's like beating a dead horse when it comes to trying to talk logically, to sheep.

CB4McGusto

Im logical. Nintendos Wii Sales are keeping Nintendo in business, because unlike sony and microsoft, they cant sponge billions of dollars from other departments. this helps me as a game because I like nintendo games such as Zelda and SSBB, it also gives meanticipation for some great apps that will hopefully be fantastic divertion from regular games. I play racing games on the ps3 the same way that i did on the ps2 and the ps1. the wii changes this up a bit and i fail to find a negative for this.

Atari let the industry go stangant, Nintendo are tyring something new, and i hope that they refine it to perfection, just like the gamepad has been refined. The gamepad started way way back, and look where it is now? We had joysticks, ditched it for a dpad and 2 buttons, then we had variations, more buttons, joysticks came back and then we had 2 joysticks, shoulder buttons came in somewhere along the line and quess what? Everyone loves the gamepad so much because its darn well nearly perfected.

The motion controller is new, the wii is ther first console to base around it. the gamepad has seen like 8 generations or something, starting form the first home console... none of us know the future but i hope the future is one with fantastic motion controls AND the gamepad depending on what is suited for the App

You need to understand Nintendo's prior position. If you look at their old position, with the GCN, they had little 3rd party support, which was the primary reason the console "failed" despite eventually selling more than the Xbox and having a small quantity of the best games available last generation.

Now the Wii started with the same problem, lacking 3rd party support. Now with the increase in sales (if you follow any sort of trends at all), you would see that the amount of 3rd party titles for the Wii are increasing. It takes time, you can't expect things like game development to happen instantaneously.

And PS: Why would I want a GTA Wii? Especially since they're already releasing one for the DS?

I disagree it is the closes thing to VR gaming out so far. I think the Wii is making a great step to getting us closer. Now that the Wii is doing so well with motion controller. I can't wait to see where gaming will go next gen.

Graphics do not make a superier expericence either (Lair anyone)? Its a combination. The wii offers something new, seomthing that unlike the gamepad, has not had 9 generations to perfect. Some games have already come off fantastic, (RE:4, SMG, MK Wii are the ones ive played that really use motion well), others offcourse did not. That said, using Lair as an example, it still didnt get control right...

"Like I always do?" I didn't know I had a fan. Just don't get too stalky ok?

De Blob on PC is crap. I know because I played it and you probably haven't.
Now you're telling me that this crap will be totally different on the Wii. I'm glad you like crap as long as it's different but I'm interested in "good" here.dotWithShoes

Yup, its fair to say they are the SAME game. As one was developed by 8 colllege students and one is developed by an actual game studio. Yeah, gonna be the same game you downloade, 3 yaesr ago you said?

No one is saying the game will be the same.

It'll just be bad in a different way.

Wii version will be superior due to motion sensing. So don't compare please.

DireToad

 Waving your arms around while playing a game does not make for a superior experience. Sales drives acceptance of a new way to input into games, hopefully motion will be refined just like the gamepad was

yeah, cause pressing buttons is so much better...

Well so far it kinda is.

Gamepads been around since the first home console, this is to be expected because devs are so used to developing around a gamepad input

This is isn't our problem. It's Nintendo's.

Problem? what is the problem? im just saying it would be easier for devs to create games for button gamepads because they have experience in doing so rather then motion controls. nintendo are doing something great for the industry, changing it up a bit, and already we have good titles making use of the controls. I hope to see motion contorls explanded further this gen and into the next.

do sheep get their benefits from wii sales?

yes, in the long-term. more support from 3rd party devs....

the better question is: do game reviews from 1 website help cows and lemmings enjoy their game anymore or less?

the answer must be yes, cause they sure argue a whole lot over subjective things like this...

I seriously can no longer stand nintendo/sheep topics. The sheep are in such denial, and toss logic out the window. There are only a few hardcore sheep left, alot of them have woke up.

Are you kidding?

Cows and Lems are more obsessed about what happened at E3 and about the Wii than Nintendo fan's are.

Whenever there is a chance, they'll bash it.

Yeah because sheep would rather let it slide under the table and forget about that embarrassing show.

Do you honestly think cows were the ones making all the Lair threads? Do you think lemmings are the ones making the RROD threads?

Spore, Sam & Max, Zack and Wiki, and Strong Bad

In 5 years people won't be playing Killzone 2, but they will have motion sensors in their controllers.
