when will 360 show graphics like Uncharted 2/Killzone2?

Gears of War is like 2 years older than these two games and let's be honest, there isn't much difference in graphics (imoGears beats both)and do you know why? Because Gears was the first game to push forward in the new engine (Unreal 3) which is the engine UC2/KZ2 use, if it wasn't for Gears you'd be still having fun with PS2 graphics. Oh and btw, Gears 3 is including the Unreal 4 engine which has never been used before again, so PS3 fanboys - let's boost your tech for you once more :)

saying uc2 and kz2 having the 'best graphics' is one thing, but saying the 360 cant handle them is something totally different

It sold better due to the price-cut and slim model.

Whilst it does have a few better looking games, the fact is it's not substantial enough to show one as being better.

I think Gears or War 2 and Resident Evil 5 for the 360 can hold up well against Uncharted and Killzone 2.

Wasn't the PS3 delayed due to yields on the Cell processor? Hence releasing a year later.

Oh no, it can definitely handle more ... when you've got half a decade and twenties of millions to spend :D The PS3 is poorly designed. If they had just made it with a more universal CPU then we'd be getting games of higher quality, with a fifth of the development time and cost. Sony ... you've dropped the ball and your developers pay dearly for it.

I think the Gears series are pretty impressive in the visual department.

Imagine ... a beefed up Core 2 Quad in the PS3. No development hassles and it would've blown away both the Cell and the 360.

Ok, back to reality. The Core 2 Quad series was extremely expensive back in 07. Even the Q6600 (the cheapest, and best one) was a crapload of money back then.

MGS4 is absolutly atrocious in the graphics department bringing it up in a graphics debate is pathetic really.

Plus even if PS3 does finally reach it's full potential in the next year or two, that's not going to matter much when MS brings out the X-Box 720 that will crush the PS3 graphics into bits, forcing Sony to play catch up in the graphics & power department once again (the original X-Box was a lot more powerful than the PS2 the first time around).

the gears of war series has decent graphics. I think uncharted 1 looks better than gears though.

Im serious PS3 exclusives are being overrated graphically by people who haven`t even played Gears 2.

And, the Cell wasn't? Intel can make them much cheaper than they sell them for. Just because the processor costs 400$ doesn't mean it takes them more than 50$ to make. Still, even a quality Core 2 Duo would've been better than the Cell.

I definately agree. Though it's also possible that Sony turn around, and whilst carrying on support for the PS3, start to heavily invest in the PS4. I don't doubt R&D has already started on both.

Ok first of all the 360's 3 cores can't do the amount of work the 7spe cell can do. 2nd of all the proof is in the games. PS3 only games have better AI. and more things happen on screen at once. Uncharted 2 has 30 different animations on each character perlevel/map. With each character having 30million polygons.(Something else the 360 can't acheive.) That being said. In Uncharted 2 you may have 20-30 enimies on the screen at once. Also to the PS3's video card is supperior to the 360's ATI raytheon crap. 360 doesn't have a stronger GPU. How can that be possible You said it yourself that the PS3's GPU can do more work than the 360's. I've seen that it can. But not to say that the 360's GPU is weak. The Wii's GPU is weaker than all.
