when will HALO 3 be dethorned?

I really do believe that the Call of Duty franchise (particularly Modern Warfare) has already dethroned Halo in all aspects it previously held. Aspects of multiplayer, story, weapons, features and most importantly popularity surpasses that of Halo 3and I would not be surprised to see MW2 surpassthat that was Halo 3.

No it isn't. At least halo 3's universe and plot is more fleshed than half life 2, what are the combine exactly, what do they want? There was absolutely nothing epic about the whole experience (it's basically get to the tower right from the start). Oh and halo 3 vehicles>>>half life 2 vehicles.

I hate to say it but between the waw and cod4 communities its already dethroned. But maybe it would help if 360 owners had more of a choice in 1st party games to chose from, beside halo3. I mean on the 360 what is one going to buy for a fps? cod series or halo3 right? So going on 4 years of the 360 on the market and possibly 2 1/2 years since Halo3 was reduced to what $39.00 or $29.00 game, it should be packed in there.

And once again come the 22nd yet another Halo game launching. I mean really 4 years of Halo and Gears lol, thats the exact reason why I didn't keep my 360, I just knew there wasn't going to be enough of what I like to keep me busy and interested in my purchase.

Counter-Strike is still the FPS king after over a decade. So no.
