When you go by game SCORES, the PSP DESTROYS the DS!

According to this, 3 AAA DS games, 1 AAA PSP game.

"scores" was plural. That implies multiple reviews.

And do you know what's the common factor for each of those PSP games that didn't score 90%+? 1 or 2 70% reviews. in other words, basically 2 review sites kept each game from achieving AAA status.

And I'm sure that isn't the case for DS games is it? The reviewers are just out to get the PSP.

Anyways, I get the point. The DS has more original IPS than the PSP does, but in my opinion that doesn't matter so long as the games are fun.

You ended it with "my opnion", what's the argue? DS has more original games, and I enjoy the sequels and spinoffs alot more than I do the PSPs. There's nothing to debate there.

Don't tell me how to read, you should learn to write. You implied in your statement, that prior to the launch nobody should think Sony could dent Nintendo in the handheld market. Yet in the very next sentence you go on to say Sony sold so many, and that was an impressive feat.

and don't even deny the fact this forum is trolling with many people claiming that the PSP "stole" marketshare, (when if it had sold just one system it would've technically taken marketshare). So excuse me for thinking you're another one of those types.

It's an impressive feat because Sony managed to sell 20 million handhelds when they themselves are an UNPROVEN handheld maker.  It's like Microsoft with the Zune, except the Zune tanked.

And btw, I never said that Sony couldn't dent them.  What is said is that no way in hell would Sony actually win the handheld wars.

The fact that it's created by sony is a blessing and a bane.  A blessing because of the prior success of the PS brand, a bane because Sony has had no prior experience in the handheld market.  Nintendo has had almost two decades.  Whoever actually thought that Sony would be able to kick Nintendo off of its high horse in one handheld generation is an idiot.  However, Sony DID manage to win over 21.5 million people.  Now THAT's an accomplishment for a first try.

No, I'm just stating what I thought.  I mean, look at Nintendo's past competition, all 8 companies or so.  Turbographix, Gamegear, lynx... all of them failed, against a colorless black-and-white gameboy at that.  Looking at Nintendo's competitors' past history, it isn't hard to see why one would think that Sony probably wouldn't kick Nintendo off the throne, especially when SEGA at its peak tried and failed.

scores don't matter between different consoles. don't ppl know how to use GS scores by now?

a psp game that gets an 8 is only compared to other psp games. how does it compare to a ds game that scored an 8? It doesn't. it becomes even more preference at that point.

DS Owners like the DS better than the psp.

PSP Owners like the PSP than the DS.

PSP and DS Owners like both.

CONSOLE Owners say nothing.

GENERALLY - PSP AND DS HAS UPS AND DOWNS! 

Scores are just a matter of Opinion not a bases for saying which system is better! I all comes down to your taste in Games if you like games on the PSP get a PSP if you like games on the DS get a DS. Why compare the two they both have something good to offer!

For my taste it's the PSP, for others it's the DS ...... neither is better than the other IMO. As for sales figures I'm not an investor in either company so that doesn't matter to me.

The PSP is a better piece of hardware with solid features (movies, music, net, rss,) and software (games) to meet my needs!
