They rushed it to the Market so people who didn't want to wait for a PS3 could get a bootleg PS3 early. That's why it had the highest fail rate of all time.

Then the controllers have batteries so you gotta buy a charge pack or buy new batteries every few days. Then you gotta pay $100 for a hard drive (lol) then you gotta pay $60 a year just to play multiplats online.

Honestly I enjoyed my wii more than my xbox and my ps3 exept in like 2008....I got my Wii in 2006 I got my Xbox in 2007 (for Halo 3) and PS3 in 2009 because they lowered the price the new model came out and I wanted to play their exclusives...only to later find out I didn't really like anything the PS3 offered in terms of exclusive games....for the most part....

I think it depends.
At launch, the Sony fanbase easily. They were punished by a poor launch line up and a ridiculous price.
Wii has been held back throughout the gen by its hardware, meaning it missed out on many great multiplat franchises (but obviously has some excellent exclusives). More recently, early adopters of the 3DS were punished by a price slash (but reimbursed...some what).
Without question the 360 fanbase are the most recently shafted. The majority of continued first party support relying on the purchase of an expensive peripheral, closing developers without picking up more talent, the Stateside Live hike etc.
PC has ruled throughout, of course.

The options you have in what you can do with a TV vs the limited capabilites of a video component that attaches to it aren't even comparable.
You need a TV to use a PS3, you don't need a PS3 to use a TV. So your example is just...well, kinda dumb.
You don't spend 5000 on a TV only wondering if there are great movies to watch on it, you spend that amount of money because you want a superior display device capable of handling whatever you decide to throw at it.
So, yes I will look at the software library of a console to determine if it's worth purchasing. 2007 and 2010 were good years for Wii. Every other year sucked.
Xbox 360 has had a pretty consistent flow, but Microsoft's recent focus on Kinect is cause for concern and the hardware failure was widespread in the early going.
PS3 started rough but each time it picked up momentum something bad happened or massively hyped games flopped like fish out of the water.
Tough choice between the Wii and PS3, but I'm going with the Wii since its 3rd party support was pretty poor throughout its lifetime. And to add to that, Wii didn't get any of the awesome multiplats PS360 have (Batman Arkham series, Bayonetta, RDR, GTA, FFXIII, etc), making it, imo, the worst library out of the three.
The PS3, in its early years, was pretty bad. A lot of their exclusives were either cancelled (Eight Days for example) or went multiplatform (AC, DMC4). Speaking of multiplats, basically every PS3 multiplat was inferior to the 360's version, and also, all those hyped exclusives flopped or didn't live up to its expectations (Lair, Heavenly Sword). $500 - $600 was too much for the PS3 in that state. The PS3 is doing great now, but it still gets its problems every now and then.

Lol. owned. Haha I just had to.Probably 360 owners. RROD, E74, charging for online multiplayer, over priced memory units, selling wifi as an addon for a while and subscription fees.
PS3 owners experienced some hardware issues too, I hear, but not as wide spread. The launch price only effected those who purchased before the price cuts and the security breach only effected a small portion of the user base, PSN being down for a month was the worst part of it all for PS3 owners.
Wii owners didn't get screwed over. Sure some of them might not have enjoyed what they got but it's not really Nintendo's fault that people leapt before looking. At worst they just consistantly over price the classic games on the virtual console(seven dollar for Sonic the Hedgehog? Lol)
Still as a 360 owner I don't feel screwed over. All my console repairs have been free and while I wish live were free it's not a huge deal to me since it's still pretty cheap and it's a good service.
360 owners, and I can say that because I owned a 360 first this gen. Let's see here, I had to deal with 3 RROD (last one never got fixed due to no warrenty) and had to buy a bunch of damn add ons that were overpriced. Want to go online? Buy a wifi adapter (should have come with the system) and now pay for online multiplayer.
Want HD? Well too bad MS was stupid not to get Blu Ray so now you'll have to buy over priced HDMI cables, really the 360 shouldn't even be considered HD system, it doesn't do HD movies! Then there is the lack of good exclusives coming out now, but the 360 slim is a good system, but the old 360 models were just a piece of over priced trash. It had the HIGHEST failure rate in the history of systems, now that's embarrising.
And the 360 is ends up costing you more money then any other system on the market today, even more expesnive then PC gaming in the long run. Sure you can say "the system is cheap" but if you add up all the add ons and online fees, you end up paying more then you would have for the origional PS3 fat! The sad part of all of this is that some people will STILL try and defend this, those people are what we in real life call morons.
But MS did a good job with the Slim, I have to admit. But those who bought the non slim models got shafted, BIG time!
Wii-only owners. Second are the people who paid $600 for a PS3. Although X360 fans getting RROD repeatedly was also badly burned.
For handhelds, those who bought the $250 3DS and the DS Phat.

I think this poll tells how sour people are for not getting a Wii this gen.
It has no games/few games/long draughts: Sorry but 20+ good exclusives is worth a price of 250 euro. If you have only one platform in a gen I feel sorry for you, but if you're like most gamers then the Wii gave you the most value as an additional platform.
Bad online/casual friendly: You knew that when you bought it.
And then continue to conveniently ignore the other platforms nickle n diming, bait and switching and hidden costs which are all intentional and worse ethically and practically.
And people still manage to have that initial PS3 price as an argument while we all know by now that 360 users have spend more on their console throughout its life.
