Which is more innovative: LBP or Wiifit?

This isn't about how pretty it is, that was NEVER our agreement. If you trace back, the original argument was about contruction tools and possibuility of a mech in LBP. Why, as pointed out early,do you keep changing the conditions of our agreements?

If you give me 2 hours, I can make it look pretty, but our agreement was functionality,adn I made something that's more functional.

Lol no the original challenge was for you to make something that looked like the Stompinator with nothing but sticks and bricks. If I had the ability to cut into solid objects and make new shapes, I could do it on Gmod too. Clearly, you have no idea what looks good and what doesn't.

You just shown the difference of Gmod and LBP. Users can easily create great looking things from simple tools, but if you want to make anything great looking in Gmod (without importing sprites, textures) it is close to impossible.

Lol, Second Life's creation kit is pretty much like building a website. Sure you get the design down, but making it is another story. It's far more complicated than LBP.

LBP, if you want to make a wheel, you put it down. A box on a wheel, you can make that. A super mecha walking robot that's 2 miles high, you can make that easily. Go watch the stage demo and the devs will show you a crazy dragon made by a team member in about 2 hours. Making anything like that in Second Life is completely difficult.

Right now, you're just grasping at anything to be right because you were wrong in the first place. So quit it and just accept that LBP is innovative. Every game news publisher agrees, everyone at GDC07 agrees. That's pretty much all the devs and news publishers.

Being able to create levels, etc. is hardly an innovative concept.

It's true I forgot the swinging tail, should have probably taken a couple minutes to make that, but I see no talk about LOOKS of the dragon ,I mearly see us talking about functionality. I'll give it to you, you can make nicer looking stuff in LBP, but in terms of functionality, gmod wins 10 to 1, which I believe is what innovation is, functionality.

Being able to create levels, etc. is hardly an innovative concept.

I suppose, regardless, LBP won democratically. So everyone who doesn't think LBP is innovative is wrong.

The poll talks about wii fit, I never oncee said anything about wii fit being more innovative :| Why did you bring that up?

Anyways, you can make nicer lookign stuff in LBP, I'll give you that, but functionality wise, gmod wins 10 to 1, which is what innovation is.

I'm still laughing at the attempts at passing off what LBP does as innovative when it's all been done before. Most of it for years on end.

Explain to me why LBP is different from rpg maker. they both simplify the process of creating a game right.

hey gmod is great and all but i got to say LBP is just as or more functional as gmod(from what ive seen) AND i hope that peice of crap box wood thing didnt take u two hrs cause then LBP definitly win functionalty

Well he wasn't allowed to use any outside resources, only boxes and sticks or something. I'm surprised he wasn't told to make the thing while blindfolded.

It took me 10 minutes to make, you should see some of the inventions people can make in just 30 minutes, me, I'm not a great builder, just making a point. Little big planet has wheels, ropes, and formable building blocks. Gmod on the other hand has a million different tools and a scripting system to let you make your own if you wanted. Gmod had about as much functionality as LBP back in version beta3a, they're at version 10 retail or so nowor so now.

I have no idea whether or not you're praising LittleBigPlanet.

I'll leave it at this: It's like a fight between an adult and a little kid. Sure the adult will win and the kid will get the **** beat out of them, but it's embarassing for an adult to fight a kid in the first place.

See the thing is u could make that box thing less 10 mins to in little big planet(from what ive seen). Im not saying LBP is more innovative but he is right in some aspect. You don't need to downlaod 200 models, most models out there are to help with ragdoll posing for like swords and charecters. Most contraptions out there are built usingstanderd items. Liek I said, I'm not a good builder, I should probably find some youtube videos to show someone who's good at gmod but I guess I should wrap up this argument soon as it's compeltely off topic.
