Who agrees that 360 lineup for 2008 is vastly better than PS3 one ?

Hmmm, have you not seen any of the games listed in this thread? Because i really don't feel like pulling out a list right now. Or do you just assume that since a few 360 games go to the PC/ps3, that they all do? Because you'd be wrong. Either that or you haven't done any research. Well you can call me a fanboy for all I care and you might be right because I prefer playing on Playstation above anything else but that still doesn't change the fact that most of the 360 titles (90%) can be found either on the PS3 or on the PC! You can't deny that!! I did research...maybe you should do that same...and insted of reading Xbox only magazines and websites you should look around! You'll see that most 360 games are on the PC as well and some of them are on the PS3 as well!

And let's see. PS3's exclusives: Lair- 4.5, Heavenly Sword- 8.0, Uncharted- 8.0, Ratchet- 7.5, Warhwak- 8.5. Awesome. You know what, at least 360 has quality games to play on. Whether the game is on 360 and PC is irrelevant until PS3 comes out with better games because exclusives PS3 has are major failures right now.

You have a poin there that I can't argue against! The PS3 exclusives got bad ratings here. True! But Uncharted and Ratched got AAA scores from many other sites and mags. And also I enjoyed Lair too!! Call me what you want but I liked the game...it was unique! One of my friends from Hungary just came out here and he's not exposed to all that system wars crap that we are and I puped in Lair and told him to try it out!! He was amazed by it....interesting. Moveing along HS was also great...I finished it ones only...than I replayed a couple of missions. Warhawk was awsome man!! One of the ebst online games that I ever played. (COD4 is the best) Ratched...well I finished Ratched 3 times in a row..I really enjoyed that game and tought that I got my moneys worth. Uncharted...that game I finished 4 times, once on each difficulty. Resistance, I finished it 4 times again and once in co-op. And than I couldn't wait to get Gears of War for my PC and than I got it and you know what??? It'c crap! It's pure crap!! I still have the game but I will send it back to Microsoft for a refound (oh yea, they do that) that game was horrible...I rather play Lair than Gears of War.

So there it is...it just goes down to your taste of games. To me Sony did not dissapoint! And this year all of my favorite games come out. Tekken 6, Soul Calibur 4, MGS4, Tomb Raider 8, Devil May Cry 4....these are sequels to the games I loved and I'm sure they will be good! To me the PS3 has no failures...just some faults that can be fixed easily!

For example, I think Resistance is a mediocore game, and there are far better executed FPS out there right now including Rainbow Six, Crysis, Halo 3, UT3, Team Fortress, Battlefield 2, CoD 4, and etc. I also didn't like Ratchet mainly because it was the same old crap that I played on PS2 just with couple new guns and better graphics, and it also too easy. I didn't like Lair either. I have no real criticisms of Uncharted, it was well done except multiplayer. There was really no reason for me to buy a 8 hour game. It's matter of opinion and taste. If you though Resistance was one of the best FPS games ever, good for you, I have no qualms about that. I also have no qualms about PS3 doing well, but the fact is that...it really isn't. Hopefully, all these exclusives live up to their potential because that's the reason I bought a PS3.

Can either of you provide links? When did MS say that? When did Sony say that?

Don't get me wrong! Rainbow Six is a better shooter and oh man COD4 is a way better shooter than Resistance. I think Resistance is even in another league in itself. I love playing on the PS3. To me it's the best system. I occasionaly pup in some old school games like Tomb Raider 1 or 3 and sometimes me and my friend like to play a 1vs1 on Duke Nukem time to kill. These are things I won't be able to do on the 360.

Yeah. Crysis online is nothing to tout about, but it was still pretty good, and Team Fortress 2, I thought it was amazing for it's ridicluous amount strategy and ways to kill people with its ****system, but again all taste, and yeah, if you want to talk about BC library...PS3 pwns 360 in that aspect.

All I KNOW, is that PS3 has just a few shooters, and a few racers in 2008, and ..........LBP

Now what everyone knows is that PS3 has by far teh worst lineup a console could have, covering only racer and shooter genres

How is this mediocre lineup comparable to 360 one, that has as impressive shooters like Project offset, but covers RPG's with some of the best coming RPG's ever, like Fable 2 and Lost odyssey, action with Ninja Gaiden 2, has Banjo in paltformers, Halo Wars and a host others in strategy, Alan Wake and theseis, two stunning looking adventures, and Too Human, Sacred 2, etc etc on top of those

PS3 lineup is the most confined, least genre covering lineup i have ever seen TBH, and its games look so FAR from impressive comparing to the mammoth vast next gen looking HUGE games like Fable 2 and Alan Wake, that PS3 could only dream of having as i see so far

So, that "PS3 lineup is the best" crap, is only true in PS3 fanboy dreams, in reality 360 lineup totally eliminates any need to have a PS3 in 2008 IMO

Fable 2 and its REAL next gen real time gameplay, is like some million of times better than the usual JRPG affair, even if it is called FF13, brings nothing new to the table in RPG gaming, Fable 2 brings everything

saolin323: you must be joking right? you get a new Splinter Cell game every 12-18 months, they don't even put the effort in the game to provide gameplay, story, boss fighting (which it completely lacks), anything in the level of MGS. I'm sorry man, but SW may be one of the only places in the world where this issue is even debatable. Also, Fable is an RPG in another level compared to Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy has a way better story, always had, even if it always ends up on a bunch of people having to save the world, everything else is completely different in every game. Also, the gameplay in Final Fantasy has already changed quite a bit, and is supposed to change even more. Square Enix has a Midas touch, i think their only bad game was a launch PS2 title, named The Bouncer And you can rest assured that both games will sell a lot better than Fable 2 and Splinter Cell will on the 360. Those are system sellers (and more succesfull series), i don't think Fable and Splinter Cell will increase 360's sales.SambaLele

As for FF13, yes, the game will be great and further improve on what we (at leats i) loved all those years, but for me the FUTURE of RPG gaming is\no more linear confined experiences like FF ones, or turn based combat, and a dead world around that you can do nothing with !!!

Fable 2 has vast cities, that you can run FREE, meet NPC's that are ALIVE and meaningfull, not guys standing all day in the same spot, has teu real time combat, not commands and then performance by virtual actors, and the story in Fable 2 will be much better, the you can have families, buy castles and towns, watch the wildersness chance with weather and seasons, swim, etc

It is like Oblivion x1000, plus the fact that it is not generic, but each new area is unique like FF games (not FF12)

So, there you have it, FF13 stellar ? YES, most definatly, but does it hold a candle to Fable 2, sadly not, not by a long shot, those games if you take out the story are like a totally dead world. Not my idea of best next gen RPG gaming

And you missed the fact that Fable 1 sold nearly 3 million copies, EXCLUDING Japan of course, that is better than many FF games did worldwide if you remove sales in japan, no system seller you say ?

- RPG's

- Survival Horror

- Startegy

- Platformers

- Action

- Adventures

PS3 has nothing for any of the above genres, not ONE game !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And is equal in shooters, so what is PS3 left with,here is the genre PS3 is ahead in 2008\

MGS4,White Knight Story,Rfom 2

360 games I would buy in 08-

Fable 2,LO,NG

Multiplats I would buy in 08-

Boarderlands,Wet,DMC4,R6V2,Starwars Force unleashed

So as you can see I'll buy mostly Multiplats in 08.
