Not at launch.
Maybe in the future but that will depends on games it has to offer.

[QUOTE="Some-Mist"]I really want pikmin 3 and mikami's new game, but there's not enough reason for me (yet) to buy one. I selected "I don't know".nintendoboy16Shinji Mikami isn't making anything for Wii U. Hideki Kamiya is.errr thanks for correcting me. That's what I meant.
I'm not interested in a single game that has been announced for the system. I'll jump on the band wagon whenever the next Zelda or Metroid shows up though.meetroid8For Metroid, prepare for a LONG wait (it may be N64 all over again for that series).
Man I bet MS and Sony would kill to have rabid fans like Nintendo, buying the console day one with barely any reason other then it being a Nintendo system. MS especially, Sony already learn't that they couldn't get away with it when they launched the PS3 ( although the price probably did a lot of the damage there).
Anyway I definitely won't be buying one at launch and barring any big change in Nintys philosophy I probably won't be buying one at all. MS and Sony will have to work for their purchase a little less because I trust them more( although MS has sucked a bit for the past ywo years or so).
idk, nobody should know if they getting one since nintendo has no idea how to present it correctly.
its the same damn people that are not getting one that doesnt like nintendo to begin with.
i know ill be purchsing all 3 eventually because im not align to a company
The same guarantee you have that Nintendo will deliver something good is that M$ and Sony will cause problems for consumers. It is not the fanbase, it's the company.Man I bet MS and Sony would kill to have rabid fans like Nintendo, buying the console day one with barely any reason other then it being a Nintendo system. The biggest sellingpoint (besides Nintendos core franchises) is asymmetric local multiplayer. I have zero interest in that. The new controller could have some fun ises, but ultimately I think it will be annoying in fast paced action sequences. So overall I don't see enough to buy it.Sushiglutton
you could always use the pro controller, local play is leagues better then online play online play has way too many problems still

Yeah but if I don't use the new controller it makes little sense to get wiiu. All consoles have local mp. What wiiu has that the others dont is asymmetric mp. And like I said it doesnt appeal to me.[QUOTE="Mario1331"][QUOTE="Sushiglutton"]The biggest sellingpoint (besides Nintendos core franchises) is asymmetric local multiplayer. idk what symmetric mp is but i do like local better then co-op
NO wii for me ty... i just started gaming on pc.. and seems there is a massive backlog i have to try out...might take me a while
Pretty much a no brainer for me since the last Nintendo console I purchased was a Gamecube. If Nintendo focused more on new, interesting IP's for gamers 21 and up instead of goofy controllers, I might consider picking one up.
And knowing Nintendo, you most likely will. Not just from Mario, but since the Donkey Kong series got rebooted I have a good feeling that will have more platformers to come. Also not forgetting Kirby, who had two platformers on the Wii (Epic Yarn and Return to Dreamland).until i see more than 1 platforming game the answer is no.

Even on the third party front, there's no doubt SEGA's blue hedgehog will be there as it is one of the very few third party series that fares well on Nintendo consoles.

of the ones u lsited kirby was the only one i could stand playing sonic was such utter trash like omg. i found the secret rings new for 99cents in a reduced bin in a grocery once. a mfing grocery, they dont even sell games all that often and even they smelled the sh!t reeking in the case :Pmario bros wii wuz okay and Dk was kind of dry for a dk game. im waiting on kirby due to his realtive consistency s a franchise of medium high - high quality of presentation and reception and 3rd party platformers. 1st parties are basically being held up by the supertuff pinkpuff atm

This brings up an interesting point for me. You see, I hate Nintendo consoles. I think their libraries are absolute trash compared to the competition. I have no plans on getting a Wii U and I'm ok with missing out on the good Nintendo franchises like Mario and Zelda. But....I'm not so sure I'd be able to stand by and watch while a good Sonic game is exclusive to Wii U. I'm not gonna lie. If a Sonic game was exclusive to Wii U and looked good, I'd probably suck it up and buy a Wii U for Sonic. And knowing Nintendo, you most likely will. Not just from Mario, but since the Donkey Kong series got rebooted I have a good feeling that will have more platformers to come. Definatly not getting a WiiU for multiplatform games, xbox 720 will be a billion times better for that
Maybe when some good exclusive arrives in 2020-2025, i will grab one at 99$
Im not going to say never because Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy series, and MEtroid Trilogy were some of the best games I have ever played. But then there is recycled **** like New Super Mario Bros Wii, both Kirby games, Brawl, Mario Kart Wii (abomination), and other Nintendo half asses efforts that you have to sift through to get to the real meat.
In this day and age where other companies are doing what Nintendo does (except for the in the 3D platformer department) but better, its hard to give Nintendo my money when their standards are so low.

Wii U is crap and Nintendo games are not to my taste.
However as an impartial observer I do endorse the 3DS, it's a good product if you are in the market for something portable or if you just enjoy Nintendo IP's.
What the hell was so recycled about Epic Yarn and Return to Dreamland? If you've played one Nintendo game, you've played them all. Its the same **** with a different coat of paint. I've only been a Nintendo fan for this past generation, and I am already getting tired of their rehashes.[QUOTE="Glutenbob"]
