as a fanboi i voted for sony.

in all truthfulness, its quite close. Sony has made a lot of promises that dont really stack up, but microsoft can be quite dissapointing in other ways. Ill 15th or whatever Sony overpromises, MS underdelivers

Clearly, MS wins this one. But so many people like to trash Sony and twist their words, Sony will probably win the poll.asylumni

I think since the PS2 was so dominant and the original Xbox didn't do so good last gen, the expectations for the PS3 was greater than the 360 and it turned out the 360 is doing a better job this gen while Sony hasn't exceeded it's predecessors, the PS1 and PS2.

We all know that Sony is the correct answer here. Cows will still vote MS though.

Sony promised out of this world graphics on consoles which Is why I got one, but I still havent seen anything breath taking over 360

I'm not sure if you're bashing or not but ... Those pics look quite similar. Also one's in Multiplayer. Plus, did Bungie claim that was in-game or a visual representation of the game?

Maybe i'm missing something but why on earth would you need all of those HDMI and Ethernet outputs? Also, the PS3 was expensive enough at launch, that would have pushed the price up even more.

Not to mention the fact that when they said it had those connections, it clearly did. And when the specs changed (which they mentioned was a possibility), they notified everyone.

Yep, claimed it was real-time. There's much more detail, better lighting and reflections. Here's one link, there's probably plenty more...

Yeah, sort of. The video I mentioned was E3 06, yours was E3 07. MS does that sort of thing, unlike the Motorstorm mentioned earlier which was never implied to be more than a target trailer. Not saying that Sony is innocent, just they both have misled.

As an owner of both consoles IMO the answer is Sony. I remember the claims that the PS2 was 20X more powerful than the Dreamcast, games on PS3 would run at 120fps and be displayed on 2 screens at once at 1080P not to mention at every launch Sony releases CGI pics as in game shots just to hype up their launch. M.S. is not a Saint either they killed the original Xbox before it ever peaked out and never released a few games in particular B.C., truefantasy online and KungFu Chaos2. Games like Too Human and Halo ODST under delivered on 360 and 2009 was not a great year for MS which is unexcusable for a company that charges us $50. a year for live and nickel and dimes us for everything they can. Although MS doesn't promise much I expected alot more from the most financially strong player in this race.

I think even cows have to admit it's Sony. Their 4D, PS3 will do 1080p at 120fps, their KZ2 CGI demonstration that was to be real-time, PS3 with x number of USB ports and media options, later only x/2 ports/extensions, etc... . MS does some of it too but not nearly at the Sony level.

back in 05-06, Sony most definitely. Nowadays, they've put a gag in Kaz's mouth and shot him up with horse tranquilizers just to be sure.

TBH i think theyre both doing a great job, i dont get why people moan and complain all the time, theres only so much money and so much time to use towards making games and all that non sense.

Sony by far. PS3 specifically. Don't get me wrong, PS3 is an awesome console and is every bit as good as 360 but get this: It wasn't supposed to be merely 'as good.' It was supposed to be head and shoulders above the competition. PS3 being the spiritual successor to the PS2 is only more evidence in Sony's over hype and under delivering. Everyone that is saying they both are equal are just cop out answer. Trying to stay neutral... That makes no sense. If they spewed nonsense, then there would not only be no need to take it out of context, it wouldn't work as well. Take this example.

Much funnier when you know the context as opposed to someone just saying "Giant enemy crab".

The only way they could prevent things from being taken out of context is to not say anything.

Thats not contradicting Sony Promises a lot and still delivers a lot. Microsoft doenst promise as much, but still promises a good amount and in my opinion almost never delivers.

Lets put into context of Sports.

Team A says "I will win the championship'

Team B says "I will get at least second place"

Team A plays and ends up getting Second, Team b ends up getting 8th. Team A promised more and underdelivered. Team B didnt promise as much as team A, but delivered a lot less.
