Yea **** the facts!blue_hazy_basic

Those ARE the facts. MS had had more SKUs at at one time than Sony. I don't see why this is so hard for you to understand. Or do you honestly think consumers are totally confused by Sony upgrading the HDD while keeping everything else the same?

Like the removal of BC? Or the slim vs fat? Whats so different about MS's SKU's that rocks the consumer to their knees in confusion? I bought a new car at the weekend and they had literally tens of different models and years on the lot. My brain exploded in its sheer inability to comprehend!

the removal of bc was so much of a lame move

Hands down - Sony is the Reigning, Undisputed, World-Championship Title-Holding, King of Over-Promising and Under-Delivering... no contest...

But what about the promises that they kept, I think they far out weigh most of the subjects brought up in this thread. I mean really was anyone that butt hurt that the ps3 didnt come with 2 hdmi ports....

Yeah some of the things people say Sony overhyped are rather silly. 2 hdmi ports? 4 ethernet ports? Big deal why would i need multiple of those?

Sony over promises

MS under delivers.

Its a tie.

brennan7777

this makes no sense.... in order to "over" promise, then you need to have under-delivered.

and you can't under-deliver on a promise you didn't make.

Definetly Sony right now, they came into this gen oblivious to the fact that Nintendo took the easy way out and Microsoft really stepped up their game.

I think Microsoft might take that spot with Natal, though.

Alright the dude arguing over sku's of the ps3 i will get to it real quick you said that you wont talk about the different size hard drives so then you logic fails right there cause according to you the xbox would only at the most have 3 sku's but hey what do i know since i been working in retail since the inception of the xbox360, ps3 and the wii now. For the topic at hand i am not gonna go into the fanboy arguement of the ps3 its a fact that they stated a whole bunch of promises that they still havent kept and the biggest one being GRAN TURISMO 5 that game was supposed to be a launch title and still isnt out yet and the whole debacle of the psn from concept to inception was the worst spin ever and its only now coming to what they promised in E3 '05 and i am still waiting for that music section they were supposed to have where i could by music.

Sony.. Outside Xbox360s RRoD thing, their UI, games, DLC's have consistently updated and kept multiple steps ahead of the PS3... Up intil recently the PS3 was a secondary system when it came to exclusives compared to 360, and it infact had inferior multiplats often times.. This has been remedied in 2009 luckily, unfortunately the UI and overall PSN is compeltely lacking.. INstead of majorly improving on that, they make pointless things like Playstation Home which is a virtual chat room with a bunch of minigames you can play free anywhere, along with a assortment of asscessories you have to pay for.. There is absolutely no reason why at this time PSN should be inferior in so many ways to XBL.. The features, the streamlined UI that causes no confusion.. Great example, is when you invite a friend to a game playing RE5.. It sends a message saying "Join my game" Or other such similar message.. But it doesn't look like a real game invitation, it just looks like a message where the person responds.. I then have to explain to the person on how you have to go over to another submenu and go to my profile square and accept the invite there.. The system makes no mention to this.. While XBL is clear, one says a message, and another says sent a game invite.. And its a simple of clicking a matter of two clearl common sense things.. Where I have to spend a couple of minutes explaining to a person on how to join my game for the PSN.. This is just a example that should have been fixed..

Wait so you gloss over the RROD to complain about PSN? Live is useless if you don't have a working system to play it on....

I find it funny how fanboys always cling onto the RROD attack when they have nothing else to say. Really shows their desperation.

Yeah until it happens again, the point is is that is a huge example of under delivering. Yet the previous poster is complaining that he had to find a game invite in a sub menu, I mean come on? How can you even compare the two.

We all know that Sony is the correct answer here. Cows will still vote MS though.

EndorphinMaster

And lemmings will still vote sony, so what are you trying to prove? Fanboys will be Fanboys?

As a company M$ without a doubt how much windows fails on a regular basis and how far behind they are from the competition is some departments. But if you just ment in terms of gaming they are rather close, but Sony seems to deliver more(though may promise more as well).

Lol there is no yellow light of death, a yellow light just means your PS3 needs service and 9 times out of 10 you can fix the problem yourself. THe RROD is a much bigger issue and occurs much more often.

Vipa37

Well, as far as I'm aware, GT5 was never said by Sony to be a launch title and Gamespot, themselves, busted any such rumour very early. You have any evidence to the contrary?

As far as the PSN goes, why is there a time limit on fulfilling "promises"? They said they would and by your own admission, they have. What's the problem?
