LOL, what a sad pic (car models look great BTW) the rear view mirror made me laugh really bad. Check out those track terrains, all green. This is not a killer app cows, don't get your hopes up, it might have awesome looking car models, but that's it.

Wow, those do look better then everything I've seen on the 360 up till now. Too bad its a racing game, and I couldn't give a (@*# about those.

Anyways was thinking about buying a ps3 not long ago.. Too bad there wouldn't be any use for it as there are no games worth playing.
I'll stick with my massive 360 library and the great Wii library (including the VC).

Please come again sony, when MGS4 and LBP are out.

sorry but thats why i play racing game since pole position. For the awesome car models and to win races with awesome car models. I could really care less if the grass is the same shade of green, all cloudsshare a same line...or if the the hot dog guy in the stands is selling burgers...I DONT CARE....just need great looking cars

360 fans could still say its the games that count against Wii owners, 360 has better graphics, as well a larger amount of quality games than what the Wii offers.

It looks amazing. Here's hoping there is no downgrade in the future.

What happens when you hit something? The reason forza looks the way it does is its an extremely in depth game from a racing standpoint, and all the sections on all the car models have to react to impact, making it hard to make a game run smoothly framerate wise when you have a ton of backround calculations going on. Ill admit the cars are absoultely beautiful, but does it have the realistic physics and damage? (you'd have to have played forza to understand i guess) Ah heck i live in japan I guess i could just go pick it up and see.

Looks great. PD are great devs. They seem to be able to get the most out of a system. Whilst there is quite a lot of detail, it still looks a bit too clinical.

OK this shot may be INGAME, but the first set that was posted was not ingame. Maybe replay but not true in game. I dont remember playing GT in that view ever anyways...So...not ingame.

Haveing said that....GT 1,3 are the ONLY racing games I have ever liked in my life.

Looks great. PD are great devs. They seem to be able to get the most out of a system. Whilst there is quite a lot of detail, it still looks a bit too clinical.

Forgot to mention, the lighting is great too and maybe the main reason it looks so good.

GT5P (Japanese account made and dled) does look prettier than Forza 2 AND it has in-car dash view, BUT Forza does have excellent gameplay.

Played back to back Forza 2 is more realistic where GT5P is still lacking in a few departments.

#1 Even at 90+ mph braking my car doesn't dip as much in the front as the cars in the GT5P demo.

#2 They STILL need to work on the sound, it's quite ridiculous in some cases.

#3 They STILL need to work on the AI, this is something that even Forza 1 is better than GT5P in.

GT5 isn't completely finished and I understand that there are issues that can be worked out before GT5 is actually released and I DO plan on playing GT5 with my G25 that MS won't give me any flippin support for, but I doubt that even with the advances that Polyphony has made that they'll be a smidge behind on the gameplay department. Not a fact at all, just pure speculation and personal opinion as I'm still at a loss as to how PD dropped the ball so bad with GT4.

one reason it may look better than forza is because its 6 months newer and it wont look that good when it comes out anyway

and just because it has good graphics doesnt mean its going to be the best racing game ever you know

it probably will get a around a 9.2 on gamespot just like forza did which is pretty good i guess

and it will probably also be better than pgr4 which is the 360s arcade racing exclusive

Well Famitsu gave Prologue 39/40 and loved it. Dont forget that the GT series is the highest selling in history even beating the Halo series...stefanlek

No damage or Custom car painting. Oh and where is the HUD? Of course Replay graphics look good even Forza 2 has great replay graphics.

lets see when its confirmed that all your backgrounds are high res bitmaps and you cant see beyond 200 feet on the sides in the game....then you can afford to pump ur cars and surrouding areas to max

oh and when your spectators just stand there and do a movement once every 5 minutes...

Yes, it's the best graphics I've seen yet in a racing sim. No, it's not the most visually impressive game I've ever seen, nor is it definitive proof that the PS3 can produce better visuals than the 360. In order to prove that, the game would have to be released on both platforms and a direct comparison made.

I think multiplats prove that the skill of the dev team counts for a LOT, perhaps even more than the power of the system itself. The team behind GT5 are very talented, but that doesn't mean they couldn't do exactly the same thing on the 360.

As for some of the other things I've read in this thread; try not to compare the latest games with ones that are 1 or even 2 years old. A brand new PS3 game being able to outdo a 1-2 year old PC/360 game isn't impressive at all. If it didn't, that would be a sad thing indeed.

Yes, it does have better graphics. Also, racing games tend to look realistic as possible.

Looks like PGR4, only clearer and more detailed. It's great, but that's kind of where I expect graphics to be a year from now - I'm not really knocked out.

Forza 3 isn't going to look like that, though - it's a road course game, not a city course game. Road courses are not very visually interesting places.
