The IN game looks about the same as Forza 2Geek_Speak101
hahaha.. i love fanboys you haven't played the game.. this is actually making me laugh seeing all those fanboys put no... and then seeing comments like this one above.. oh well.. once you play it youll know. :)
So forza has been out for a while.. Lets see what racing games come out when GT5 comes out. And it definately doesn't make forza look like last gen.. come on. Have you played Forza alot? My guess is no. It looks pretty good. pilotc
i actually own forza for my xbox 1, but i do not have a 360, so i dont have the 2nd one. i played gt4 instead.
The reason why its graphics are so praise is because they are the closest to resemble real life (from a photo standpoint) and is technically deeper than any other racing game and or most games out there.
Cedmln
Now if only it would come anywhere near being the most realistic racer :) Of course it would kill sales, so it won't happen, but one can dream :)
Lems: "Pssh. These are not in-game screenshots."

OWNED!!
Rikusaki
Well..the screenshots obviously were touched up (as the demo doesn't run with FSAA x16), but it does look preety close to them ingame

What is the most realistic racing game?

THere are many actualy. RFactor, GTR2, Race 07, NetKarPRO, Richard Burns Rally. Live for Speed S2 and Nascar Racing 2003 all made every previous GT game look like arcade in comparision. Polyphony has found a nice balance between arcade and simulation that apparently works for most gamers. But pure physics-wise Polyphony always has been good5-6 years behind PC devs

360 fan: "Who cares, it's the graphics that count!"

lol so true
The thing to note here is that, with racing games, graphics are crucial for the best gameplay.
Third person games, FPSs, and platformers can all get away with having less than pay-grade resolution since their gameplay isn't as dependent on visuals. Racers on the other hand, need graphical attention.
None of those are in game. They may be in-engine, but thats hardly in game. Not a single one of actually racing.Cali3350
Some of them are just CGI photos, while the other are replay of the demo game. Obviously the top 4 pics are CGI pics, not in game pics. Let's wait until the game actually gets released and then we can compare these photos to the finished game and if they match or not. I bet you they don't.
Graphics is only 1/4 of the game. I'm more interested in how the game actually PLAYS, they how it LOOKS. I don't buy a game on graphics alone, that would be just DUMB!!

Be safe in the knowledge that it will, gameplay has never been a problem for the ultimate driving simulator

It has one small problem though....it's boring. If you like collecting virtual cars and customizing, then Gran Turismo is for you. Face it,the game is a beautiful bore.
[QUOTE="-wii60-"]Wow that's photomode or replay, and static pictures as background (not even 3D)makes things look better.Rikusaki
Wrong. I have the demo of Prologue. The game plays in full 1080p at 60FPS. Make a Japanese account and download it yourself if you wnat proof.
1280x1080 is not full 1080p.

to even compare it to the forza series is abit of an insult. Most casual gamers wont of heard of forza,While the gt series is one of the biggest selling games series.
why would such a boring game well so many millions?

Theya re in-engine using the photo mode... How are they not a representation of the graphics?
Hasent GT4 photo mode taught you anyhting? Show me a screen of someone actually playing the game.
Okay, that looks freakin awesome.
I wonder if it will run on stable 60 fps or have fps drops...
Or become downgraded.
omgimba
Well the demo has no problem running at a stable 60fps so I think its safe to say the final game will be able to run it with no problem.

I don't know. It baffles me. Why do 50 Cent: Bulletproof and crappy movie liscensed games sell so well?
I think this looks WAY better than ANY 360 game.
This makes Forza 2 look last gen.
Rikusaki
Forza was not that great looking of a game. I thought PG3 looked better than Forza 2. The game does look great though I can not wait.
lol.
It doesn't make Forza 2 look like last gen, but it does look better than it. I think PS3/360 are pretty equal in terms of graphical power but the PS3 exclusives like Uncharted show more potential in that area imo.
the-very-best
WOW, I agree
PGR4 looks almost as good as that, we will see when the game is actually released how the graphics look.
That said, I have always been a huge Gran Tourismo fan, and a poloyphonic Digital fan, they take thier time, but fuss over the details
PGR4 looks pretty damn good to, least you forget
and this game is already out, I'm not saying its as good as Gran Tourismo, but Graphically its pretty good, the diffrence between the 360 and Ps3 are not substantial, they have about the same power

he is right you know. that isn't actual gameplay...
All you really have to do is buya PS3 or go to somebody who owns one, download and play GT5: P DEMO...select exterior view, press L1...BAM! you have the same angles shown here. No difference in graphics.[QUOTE="jlh47"][QUOTE="Udsen"][QUOTE="Cali3350"]None of those are in game. They may be in-engine, but thats hardly in game. Not a single one of actually racing.Liquid-GEAR
