NaveedLife, your characters have no effect on your speed, handling and acceleration anymore. That depends entirely on what kart you are using and how you customize it.charizard1605
Right, I am saying that they didnt affect it in the DS version, the only thing is that the fat guys were better at knocking others around :P. So its kinda cheap.
Speaking of Pushmo, I'm surprised how much the 3D effect helps out. I was doing one of the puzzles with the 3D off and I couldn't figure it out, then I turned on the 3D and it sure puts things in a different perspective it's pretty cool

I don't think I have noticed that. Yoshi is perfectly capable of knocking around the heavier guys all around the track... And this double post thing needs to stop.I would have liked a higher res system with no 3D gimmick..... Its selling rather well so its not a failure.

I used to say that (and I still would like higher res obviously), then I bought one and played some of Ocarina of Time. It really is not a gimmick and is quite awesome. Not saying its perfect, but I changed my mind on not wanting it :P.

So never then?SW will likely not change their opinion until it tops the DS.

For me it set up to be the best Handheld of all time. Just give me my Zelda: Majora's Mask remake and Dragon Quest ((Old school)) then we are good to go.

Yeah I have one and I agree about OOT 3D really does make good use of the 3D tech. But over all I would have prefered no 3D as in some games it cuts the frame rate in half.
Hmm, Out of the gate it was a little awful. Down here in Australia, I bought the 3DS at launch for $350, and after a few weeks I felt a little dissapointed, which is the only time I've ever felt dissapointed on a console/portable that close to launch. But now It's looking to be a great system. Only regret is buying it on launch.
However, it seems I have not learnt my lesson, as I have preordered the Vita for $350. :P

Open to interpretation.
This. I think for me personally it will. Paper Mario (if done right) will be the best RPG among both of them, and if they make a new 3D Zelda with the OoT 3D engine...oh man. The lineup is killer right now.

I was talking more about sales. I mean, one can't really believe the 3DS will ever top the DS's lifetime total...Be thankful for your 3DS having low battery life, thus stopping it from ruining your life ;)It has games I would love to play, but I just find it out dated. I can't stand the one analog stick and the battery life sucks, also I don't care too much for the 3D but I guess I could get used to it a little over time. I'm wating for Nintendo to come out with a new 3DS model with 2 analog sticks and improved battery life, if they do that I will definately buy one. Don't know if it would be a good thing though because having a portable Zelda OoT would probably RUIN my life and distract me lol :P
Seriously I used to be addicted to my DS.

Anything that comes from nintendo i see as failure but thats just for me personally what i think so dont go out raging at my comment like an animal if you dont agree. havent seen anything worth looking at from nintendo yet. used to love pokemon and play non-stop but that was when i was a child. i know this is about 3DS tho, im 0 interested in that system
finalstar2007
I had Zero interest in the system until I found that games like Resident Evil 3D Mercenary, and Revelation, Kingdom Hearts and The Legend of Zelda OoT 3D are only on the 3DS, suddenly I had a change of heart. Though the online functionality still sucks even with three to four updates so far since launch and it still sucks. Who knows, if there is a Kingdom Hearts 3D from Square Enix, I suppose we can expect a major Final Fantasy Title along the way too :P

It's a failure as in where it's at right now.
It will be great eventually.
peterw007
Then again, it did release only 10 months ago (in Japan). You can't blame it for having a lack of titles.
Ultimately sales/profits of the console are the determining factor for whether a console is a success or a failure.
If the 3DS sells >50 million, I'm sure everybody would think it's a success.
If it sells ~25 million like the Gamecube...it's debatable.
But if it sells less than 10 million, it will probably be prematurely pulled from the market as a failure.
Um, its already passed 10-11 million in 9 months?I was talking more about sales. I mean, one can't really believe the 3DS will ever top the DS's lifetime total...[QUOTE="charizard1605"]

I'm not saying it will, but people didn't think the DS would top the GBA or GB. People didn't think the PS2 would top the PS1. The gaming market is expanding more than ever right now. They're selling it at a loss.ActionRemixAnd recouping all losses in massive software sales.

I still don't see much in the way of 3DS games I want to play. Mario 3D land came up short of the standard Galaxy set, and I didn't like OoT on the 64 in it's prime. I guess the classic games could be appealing to some. But I'm way past the point of paying for ROM downloads.RandoIphCheck out Maio Kart 7. Also, Mario 3D Land is like the best 3D Mario game till date, Also, Pushmo alone justifies 3D gaming! Other games you want to look at include Nano Assault, Cave Story, Sonic Generations, Tales of the Abyss, Resident Evil: Mercenaries and the upcoming Revelations and Kid Icarus: Uprising.
