[QUOTE="Timstuff"][QUOTE="Shinobishyguy"] the problem is that you want it to grow up in such superficial waysjimkabrhel
And which ways would those be? :|Blood, dark colors and an adult-looking character done't make a game "mature". A mature game is more about the complexity of the game play and story, not the superficial aspects of the game. Games like God of War, Mad World and other games with graphic violence aren't "Mature" just because of their rating. It' mostly mindless hack and slash, with blood for the sake of blood. (I do really like God of War, by the way, it's just not a favorite.)
1st of all, I am sick of brown looking games and I criticized Twilight Princess for this when it came out. Oblivion is a much more colorful game and I liked it better than Twilight Princess.
Second of all, what does blood have anything to do with anything? I do not want a Zelda game that looks like God of War with ridiculous amounts of blood going everywhere, with severed limbs and ridiculous fatalities. If there was no blood in the next Zelda game but it still had a more mature looking world, dangerous looking monsters and an intelligent story, then I would be satasfied that it was mature enough. If there was any blood I would not want it to beyond what is permissible under a T-rating, because I do not think Zelda should ever go M-rated (an M-rated Metroid on the other hand-- there's tons of potential there).
If there was any blood it should not be worse than what was in the Lord of the Rings games where if you kill a Moblin there may be a few little splats of black Moblin blood, and of course the green slime for some other enemies, but nothing more than that. You make it sound as if I called for Zelda to be as ridiculous as Dragon Age, when I didn't say anything about blood other than that the gold cart of OoT had some blood during the end battle and I though that it made the experience better than using green slime like the gray cart did.
