Why do PS3 owners not like to play online?

Uncharted 2 pretty much the most popular PS3 game and there were only 55,983 daily players. That is right I did not say current players but the entire day (daily) and it is the weekend. I just got through playing and kept having to wait for matches for awhile. Also it is a good thing most people with a PS3 do not have mics because 50% of the time I play Uncharted they do not even speak english. That would not be a bad thing if I did not put my region as America but I did but since there is so few people playing I get connected to wherever in the world I can. I just finished a game where is was some form of asian. Seriously the most popular PS3 game can not even get 100k for the entire day? Heck it only had half a 100k and it is the weekend!

Killzone 2 is the same way also. Now the way it is set up it is easier but still there is never more then 3 or 4 matches that are close to full. Also KZ2 is supposed to be another huge one for the PS3.

Ps3 owners brag all the time about the free wifi and free online but that does not mean diddly if no one uses it. 360 owners pay and there is still far more players.

Heck I just downloaded Warhawk demo. You are able to play one of the online maps with the demo. I played it twice and there was only 11 people out of a possible 33. Seriously WTF!

If I played Halo, Gears, or CoD on the 360 there will be a truck load of people.

Im sure they do. not every game needs to have the communitys of Halo adn MW to have people palying on them. And even if they dont, who cares. Dosent make PS3 bad.

Many games to choose from on the PS3, so you wont see Halo type numbers for the servers.

Yea... PS3 owners are more spread out. There is a lot more than halo, gears, and cod ya know.

Hell.. I could put in Splinter Cell DA and find a game if I wanted, did that the other night as a matter of fact.

Well unfortunately I've noticed most multiplayer games tend to have their online communities fall drastically about 6 months out of release.

If you try playing CoD tho, there is still loads of people playing. Madden and NHL11 have alot of people on as well, I don't have to wait at all for either of those games when I try to jump into a game.

How many 360 games have maintained a huge online community past 6 months? Halo and CoD are really the only ones I can think of.

PS3 has some really great single player experiences out there but I still enjoy playing LBP online every now and again.

Well, when you have Uncharted 2, CoD4, MW2, Bad Company 2, Killzone 2, Resistance 1, Resistance 2, Warhawk, Demon's Souls, and Little Big Planet, it can be hard to dedicate to only one online community. Not to mention there are tons of single player games people replay a lot.

3-It does not matter if they know what they are doing I should not have to listen/mute to 1/2 the group speak asian just because not enough people play the game.SilentlyMad

Its most likely you joined a game where some friends were playing together. I HIGHLY doubt this happens to you on a regular basis for PS3 games. I know when I play with my friends sometimes we end up having "side conversations" within the game. Some people get annoyed but thats what happens; people talk with their friends the way they are comfortable.

360 is heavily associated with Multipalyer. While PS3 is heavily associated with Singlepalyer. Both are perfectly fine ways to do stuff on the console. and by lesser games, I assume you mean the lesser known or smaller PS3 games like Mod Nation racers and all that, to which I say that you will probaly still find people playing on their. i dont do alot of PSN online gaming, but anytime I do I usualy find a game pretty easily.

I'm a ps3 user and I love online :?. We're just more spread out. That and most people on PSN play MW2 and nothing else :x

There are constally people on it and you can always find a game. I dont see the negative in this.

My friends tend to either paly COD, Halo, or random Arcade titles.

I hardly ever play online at all. Even with my 360 i pretty much never play online...

WHAT GAMES? Halo has sold almost five times as UC2. Thats about it. Oh yeah, and MW2. So what other games than those two on the 360 are doing better than UC2 as far as online?

I would kill fi more of my friends would Play Gears of War 1. I dont liek Gears 2 for a few reasons.
