Why do PS3 owners not like to play online?

cause i prefer a single player romp over a game like cod most of the time? just saying my piece.

Everyone in the same room multiplayer is way more fun than online but thats my personal opinion.

lol what...Your name makes and this bolded part literally makees this totally sig worthy and the logic is airtight alright....i have a lot of friends sometimes i prefer to just sit down with a nice beer and play an SP instead of getting annoyed by some little idiot on a game like CoD.

Single players are better cause tbh they are more immersive,gripping and if they have a well written narrative arent shallow run n gun gameplay which the kids like :S

Games like bioshock have suffered because of silly people like you.

They like to play online, but talking is another story. Only in MW2 do I hear talking often.

Uncharted wasn't great because of it's online play.

Well I can't speak for all PS3 owners. But for me I don't care enough to play online every day. I just don't have enoughtime to. I prefer the SP experience, as oppose to the adhd TWITCH SHOOTING online fest that alot of 360 owners and teenyboppers (under 21)tend to enjoy these days (no offense).

I just don't find the ultra-fun out of online gaming at all. Yeah, it's fun for awhile, don't get me wrong, but after maybe 2 hours, it gets severely OLD. I find watching a pre-season baseball match on TV more interesting than that.

That is why I prefer the PS3. PSN is free and an option. I don't feel obligated to play the most and get the mostout of my system just to justify the paid subscription if I was on XBL.

its easy to see 360 is more geared toward online gameplay and the PS3 more geared to single player gameplay.

I dont really see it as surprising.

Most peopl i Know play mw2 online. When they buy other games they normally play campaign and maybe a few online matches but the its back to mw2. Also not having much people with mics affect you from connecting to anyone else than your close friends. I wish more ps3 owners played a much bigger variaty og games.

I don't understand why you think U2 is the ps3s biggest online game. It's not, and there are many games to choose from to play online, so none of them will be as popular as Halo on 360, just like no game on 360, other than COD, is as popular as it. I wouldn't be surprised to find out most online games on 360 have dismal numbers of people playing.

53k is a quite a lot of people. More than enough. o_O

Uncharted 2 pretty much the most popular PS3 game and there were only 55,983 daily players. That is right I did not say current players but the entire day (daily) and it is the weekend. I just got through playing and kept having to wait for matches for awhile. Also it is a good thing most people with a PS3 do not have mics because 50% of the time I play Uncharted they do not even speak english. That would not be a bad thing if I did not put my region as America but I did but since there is so few people playing I get connected to wherever in the world I can. I just finished a game where is was some form of asian. Seriously the most popular PS3 game can not even get 100k for the entire day? Heck it only had half a 100k and it is the weekend!

Killzone 2 is the same way also. Now the way it is set up it is easier but still there is never more then 3 or 4 matches that are close to full. Also KZ2 is supposed to be another huge one for the PS3.

Ps3 owners brag all the time about the free wifi and free online but that does not mean diddly if no one uses it. 360 owners pay and there is still far more players.

Heck I just downloaded Warhawk demo. You are able to play one of the online maps with the demo. I played it twice and there was only 11 people out of a possible 33. Seriously WTF!

If I played Halo, Gears, or CoD on the 360 there will be a truck load of people.
