[QUOTE="GodofEmpires"][QUOTE="SilentlyMad"]Wow very defensive post and seems I hit a nerve. 1-Sure England created english but the world only cares about it because of America. You really think England has the same influence to make the world want to speak your tongue? Seriously? Lets face it America is a superpower and England not so much. 2- Yes since I choose America as my region I would rather hear my native tongue but since just under 56k of the world plays UC2 on a weekend that will not happen. 3-It does not matter if they know what they are doing I should not have to listen/mute to 1/2 the group speak asian just because not enough people play the game.tomarlyn
1. Thats a very ignorant post. I'm American, and yes, we're a superpower, but so is England. 2. I usually find a full match on UC2 within 10-30 seconds, which is not bad considering the main focus of UC2 and why it received so many awards is the single player. Many people I know don't like the MP either, probably because "it's not MW2 so its sucks!!!" 3. I mute people who don't speak my language, too, and I'm pretty sure people mute me when I talk with my friends about random stuff on PSN. I was a XBL whore last gen, always on. That didn't have an enormous community either but it was new. I remember two american guys in Return To Castle Wolfenstein talking openly about necrophilia and their personal techniques. There's some total freaks out there, the lack of mics with PSN is like gun control.
Now the PS3 has some real flagship online games and a good reputation. I'm sure its community will grow ten fold within the coming years and remember the experience is free, they have nothing to lose. Thats still not suggesting the current community is weak or limited in any way however. The fact the community is so varied is really nice, how many Japanese people do you have on your friends list? I have 3, they really like Lost Planet 2.
Reminds me of a MGO moment where two people where having a text chat, and one asked what the heck bestiality was.
The ensuing text chat and explanation on screen, in the middle of a game, made me LOL so hard.
Oh the MGO memories.
