Because, $4 a month doesn't hinder me at all.

it's not about the money it's the moral they are charging you things that should be free for the purpose of linin their pocketsit's a matter of morality.

PC, PS3 and Wii have it FREE!!!

The whole it should be free argument is weak. Water, a necessity for sustaining life should be free. Yet it's perfectly legal to sell water in a bottle. Because you don't have to buy it. You don't have to buy Live. Get a PS3 or PC. Yet I never hear the people who only drink tap water harassing those that buy Poland Spring this much. Let others do with their money what they wish.

the only reason microsoft is charging is because they just want to make a profit of every gullible person out there, the same way they tell game manufacturers to not include parts in games for later charge...they tried the same thing with PC online but the people spoke out.

it's more like using the toilet and your mother telling you you have to pay for each tissue of toilet paper.

MS is not bound to provide anything for me. My parents are. Why does Poland Spring bottle the most essential thing to our life other than oxygen? To make a profit. Why should it be different for MS with Live? Because you prefer the PS3, that makes it wrong? That is business and until it is deemed illegal or unethical, there is nothing wrong with it.

with that thinking microsoft loves you...

next thing you know they will charge for how long you use the joystick, I bet you also agree with them taking content from games for later charge ? hey it's like water...

how about next they charge you for backward compability.

according to you as long as it can be done why not.

Like I said they tried the same BS with PC but people spoke out.

you need to stopdefending people who are taking advantage of you...

If I were a gangsta rapper, I would brag about paying fitty dolla a year on XBox Live between talking about how I drink 2 liters of Cristal and how I b rollin' in my Bentley Arnage wit da XBox 360 all up in da ride!. Seriously, $50 per yer isn't breaking my bank and I prefer Live over PSN. I use both. The End.

Well that's called assuming. I have my boundries and cut off points that I don't need to justify to anyone else. And Sony charges devs a fee for content in some weird way that I don't remember the details of for demos and such. But I'm not paying it so it's not lining Sony's pockets I guess. You need to let others be. It doesn't affect you, so I don't understand what the problem is.

it does affect everyone because if this kinda business is succesful other businesses will do the same thing and start charging for things like online and content that should be in games already.

Ok if you truly feel this strongly about it, I have said this in past threads on this subject. Instead of trying to prove your a smarter/superior person because you don't pay for live, as you have with in a previous post where you quoted lawlessx, try writing your congressman. Or try starting a court recognized petition. But coming on SW and telling other people what they should do with their money because it doesn't follow your opinion screams "look how smart I am and you guy aren't". It isn't really about helping gaming, it's about stroking your ego.

I speak with my money by not giving in.

If PS3 started to charge I would not pay.

people need to do this and say no to unreliable system and paying for online.
