Why don't you game on PC? (READ THE OP!)

Now before I get lynched, I would like to say this is not a flamebaiting topic. I've been seeing some people in SW claim the PC is crap or the games suck or something like that. But I really want to get the bottom of why people are saying that. Why do THEY think the games suck, why do THEY think the PC is a crap format.

Basiclly for this topic, I kindly ask you to come up with a convincing opinion not just "hurr durr, PC sucks". Notice I bolded opinion, because thats what is it, an opinion.

My home computer or laptop are not powerful enough to run 90% of PC games.

Because

1. It has the most genres. (GS)

2. It has the most competative games/genres bar none. Only fighters on consoles come CLOSE, and then fall short.

3. Best graphics. (Fact)

4. Best performance, by leaps and bounds. (Fact)

5. Most Games. Most Exclusives (4x than any single console infact) (GS). And biggest Indy scene.

6. Most features and options. (FOV/MODS/Controller Types/Hook upt to HDTV/etc.)

7. Best version of 90% of multiplats. (GS)

I don't think PC games suck, I just don't care for how it's done. First of all I don't like how many games have to be registered through steam. Even non steam games. I hate how much the platform relies on purely digital mediums. and lastly I don't feel like buying another computer when I already have my imac. That said, I do think PCs have advantages and do not think they "Suck" just aren't my thing.Sali217

I have a PC that can run and mostly max any game. I also have PS3 and 360. I play on PC 99% of the time. Consoles feel like a step-down for me although the console exclusives are very good which is why I have the consoles!

The first computer I ever gamed on couldn't run 90% of PC games either.

There's no reason to think that in order to PC game you need to dive in head first with a supra-hardcore gaming PC.

It's a hobby. You go into it having the tiniest shred of interest, and you see if that develops into something more.

would love to game on pc, however if i do i want to do it the best way possible and cant afford 800-1000 dollars to drop on a rig.

finally all my friends play on consoles. i literally have no friends that play anything on pc, i enjoy having people over and gaming on the couch and while yes you can hook the pc up to your tv its just a hassle. rather just pop in a disk and play from there and take the slight hit in graphics.

Ease of use. Ease of purchase. Initial cost. Coefficient of imitation. Preference for certain games.

Those are the usual suspects when you boil it down. Hardly surprising. The first two are my primary reasons.

Because I like to play online games and if I am beaten it should be because of a skilled player and not a cheater/hacker.
