[QUOTE="NextGenNow"] [QUOTE="subrosian"][QUOTE="NextGenNow"][QUOTE="subrosian"]Most of the PC games that are on the 360 are not on the PS3 or Wii. For $400 you get a gaming system that can play many excellent PC games, without having to worry about upgrading your PC. For someone like a laptop owner, who might not be keen on getting a desktop PC, this is great.
Also, let's not forget - Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Too Human, Halo 3, Halo Wars, Gears of War, Lost Odyssey, Forza 2, et cetera... all only on the 360. Gears and Halo might wind up on the PC, but if Halo 2 is any indication, it won't be for a long time.
Alan Wake, Bioshock, Shadowrun, Halo 2, Command and Conqueor 3, Unreal Tournament 3, Oblivion, Fear and GTA IV might be on PC - and frankly are reasons for me personally to hold off on getting a 360, but there are still reasons to own one.
In the end, I honestly think you're only arguing for PC gaming because you're a huge Sony fan... and it's okay. No matter what you'll be supporting Microsoft, my gaming company. Want to play Gears, Halo, Alan Wake, Shadowrun, Geometry Wars, Uno, et cetera on your gaming PC? Guess what you're buying? It starts with a V and ends with "omg... I've admitted a Microsoft platform is a superior gaming platform that I enjoy".
But whatever, you do what makes you happy. Me? I'm upgrading my PC and getting a 360 for Gears, Halo 3, Too Human, Blue Dragon, GRAW (pc version is different), PGR3, and Lost Odyssey.
I'll be playing Halo 2, Shadowrun, Bioshock, Oblivion, and Alan Wake on a Vista DX10 machine.

As the gap widens between 360 and PS3 in terms of exclusives your going to be hurting more from that point of view...3 years down the road PS3 will have close to 20 plus titles PC WONT have..while MS policy seems to be make it for both and support both our endeavors. It's sad but it's true...the day will come when you see these games all on a PC...the same cannot be said for Sony...they don't push their software on PC's to sell there new OS lol
MS Policy? MS isn't the one making most of the games I want to play... or did Silicon Knights fall under MS ownership while I wasn't looking? This is another case of a Sony fanboy hiding behind the PC out of fear of the Xbox 360. Yet, what you consitently fail to acknowledge here is that if you follow your strategy, you're supporting Microsoft.
Guess what the PC is? Right... Windows. Not the one you already own either, a new one called Windows Vista - an operating system that costs $120+ --- all of which goes into Micrsoft's pocket. Claiming you're going to buy a PC and a PS3 is no different than saying you're going to buy an Xbox 360.
"Bu...bu..but the PS3 exclusives"... right... and so far the proven exclusives are... uh... wait... hold on... God of War, Ratchet & Clank, and that's it. FF XIII and MGS4 exclusivity ARE NOT confirmed. Meanwhile PC has games like Crysis, a playable version of Fear, WoW, Guild Wars, the graphically impressive version of Haze, and Starcraft 2.
"Bu... I'm going to buy a PC" - yeah, a Microsoft platform, it's no different than buying a 360. What you can't get around here is that PC / 360 as a platform actually has an *awesome* library of games - something the PS3 doesn't.
In essence what you are saying is diversity is king...so get a PC and 360 so you can play Halo 3 and Halo.5!!!11!!1
How about I get a PS3 with all the games I mentioned post above this one and not waste my time on basically a 360 and a super 360. I know I wont be able to get the games coming to PS3 on a PC...but 360 is like the weaksauce PC with far less features...whereas PS3 is simply more than a PC...it's a console with its own set of games and a blu-ray player along with a slew of other things....
And btw I thought you should know...IF you own PS1 or PS2 games the newest patch is AMAZING on the PS3...the AA is simply breath taking even on a SD tv. I played Red Faction and FF VIII last night and was BLOWN away. They looked AMAZING
So it finally comes out - you can't hide behind the PC any more, so you're forced to make the claim that the PS3 > PC. Let's go through this one step at a time.
Graphics. The PC blows the PS3 out of the water. A $600 gaming PC, as I've demonstrated, can have a GeForce 8800gts 320mb. Holy crap. This absolutely graphically *annilates* the PS3. This is the card that creates the graphics you're seeing in all the Crysis screenshots.
Performance. This Gaming PC has eight times the system RAM as the PS3 - it's going to run smooth as butter in every game, no stuttering, no slowdowns, no weird load times - nothing. From the moment the game starts to the moment you stop playing, it's a seamless experience.
Games. Comparing the PC library to the PS3 library is suicide. You've got a huge library of AAA games on the PC - or you can play inferior ports of PC games like Oblivion on the PS3, with no mod community, no graphics updates, no gameplay overhauls... how boring.
Online. Unfinished PSN - or huge established gaming communities surround every major game. People are still playing Tribes for goodness sake! How many people were online last time you logged into SOCOM? Clans, tournaments, and LAN gaming only take things further.
Cost. Games on the PC are $50... yet the same game on the PS3 is $60. At $10 a game difference, every sixth games is essentially a freebie.
Upscaled PS1 and PS2 don't come close to doing what Oblivion with graphics mods at 1680x1050 looks like... you're comparing several year old consumer consoles that retailed for $300 at launch to a $270 graphics card supported by 2 gigs of RAM and a dual-core processor, not a good idea.
But whatever, other than lying about your support for the PC, what else do you have to offer? Games I can play on my PS1 and PS2? It's not enough, and the Gaming PC simply obliterates it, with better games both now and tommorow.
i swear you should have stopped posting a looong time ago...
