Forza 2 i might get but not sure yet. I didnt care for the demo to much. the graphics i was not impressed, but the game play was there at least.

LOL why do people think you can't play your PC on your TV? Mine is set up on an LG 42" LCD with Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard....oh and I have the Wireless reciever for Windows that lets me run my 360 pads and camera.  Sitting on a couch to play either my pc or 360 really isn't a difficult concept in this day and age.

My HDTV doesn't have a VGA connection. NOr do I want to use a KB&M while sitting on my couch or my recliner. Also, I don't want to be bothered with having to hook-up my PC to my HDTV every time I want to play a game?:roll:

You say the Xbox360 has exclusives, your using this arguement against the system with the most high quality exclusives of all, your telling me as a PC Gamer all im doing is waiting for the 360 games to come to the PC? Then you must be dillusional.

But whatever, you do what makes you happy. Me? I'm upgrading my PC and getting a 360 for Gears, Halo 3, Too Human, Blue Dragon, GRAW (pc version is different), PGR3, and Lost Odyssey.

I'll be playing Halo 2, Shadowrun, Bioshock, Oblivion, and Alan Wake on a Vista DX10 machine.

How about I get a PS3 with all the games I mentioned post above this one and not waste my time on basically a 360 and a super 360. I know I wont be able to get the games coming to PS3 on a PC...but 360 is like the weaksauce PC with far less features...whereas PS3 is simply more than a PC...it's a console with its own set of games and a blu-ray player along with a slew of other things....

And btw I thought you should know...IF you own PS1 or PS2 games the newest patch is AMAZING on the PS3...the AA is simply breath taking even on a SD tv. I played Red Faction and FF VIII last night and was BLOWN away. They looked AMAZING

Agreed. The online community will have moved on by the time the game comes out on the PC.

Cows only use this argument to make them feel better because the PS3 doesn't have a AAA to call its own. This thread is proof of that.

Because I get to play more games for less money. I don't have a PC, and if I did it wouldn't be able to play current games for more than 6 months.

The real question is why own a PS3? I doesn't have the promised games yet, and it is currently at it's most expensive. Unless Sony were threatening to remove features to cut down on cost, you'd have to be some kind of idiot to buy a PS3 right now. It doesn't have any games worth owning, and by the time it does, it could very well have gone down in price.

At least the Xbox 360 has games worth playing right now.

YEa avoiding the Life arguement, we wait , not because we are desperate to Play GTA and Halo 3, but because they are BONUSES to our library, that is all, and the point is, if they are really worth as much as the 360/PS3 players are saying, if they are truly great games, then they are still great to have a year later ontop of our current games list, which is by no means small.

Sorry but not everyone likes all the exclusives available on the PC.  Personally, after warcraft 2, I haven't gotten back into the RTS genre, I don't like the sims, Civilization4, etc.

And vice versa, but tell me, since you only chose to highlight RTS games, what about Crysis? Alot of people like it on any platform, but thats scheduled to never be released o nthe current consoles, when HAlo 3 is going to release on the PC? So shows waiting for what? I dont get HAlo 3 on day one? So? I have Crysis, thats not even nescarry since we have 4 great online FPS games this year, its not like Halo 3 stand out all that much.

What's the point in waiting if you can play it when it's released though? 3 Years ago halo 2 was released and it has only just came to the pc this month.. Now all 360 owners will be able to play halo 3 in a few months are you telling us that you will wait another 3 years to play halo 3?

Same with gears of war, by the time it comes to the pc (if it does) gears 2 wont be far from release so would that be worth the wait aswell?

Let me ask you this - and be honest - how many times have you upgraded your hardware (vid card, memory, etc) over the last 18 months?  How much has that alone cost you?  My 360 has been the same system over that period of time and will continue to be the same system for the next 2.5 years or more that I play games on it. 

A one time investment ($399) >>>>  Constant upgrades to your PC

Lastly, each game you mentioned is optimized for my 360.  Each 360 I play against is running the same game.  I like this.  No "optimizing your settings" for your setup.  No playing against people with "ultimate rigs".  I like that a lot.

How about I get a PS3 with all the games I mentioned post above this one and not waste my time on basically a 360 and a super 360. I know I wont be able to get the games coming to PS3 on a PC...but 360 is like the weaksauce PC with far less features...whereas PS3 is simply more than a PC...it's a console with its own set of games and a blu-ray player along with a slew of other things....

And btw I thought you should know...IF you own PS1 or PS2 games the newest patch is AMAZING on the PS3...the AA is simply breath taking even on a SD tv. I played Red Faction and FF VIII last night and was BLOWN away. They looked AMAZING

So it finally comes out - you can't hide behind the PC any more, so you're forced to make the claim that the PS3 > PC. Let's go through this one step at a time.

Graphics. The PC blows the PS3 out of the water. A $600 gaming PC, as I've demonstrated, can have a GeForce 8800gts 320mb. Holy crap. This absolutely graphically *annilates* the PS3. This is the card that creates the graphics you're seeing in all the Crysis screenshots.

Performance. This Gaming PC has eight times the system RAM as the PS3 - it's going to run smooth as butter in every game, no stuttering, no slowdowns, no weird load times - nothing. From the moment the game starts to the moment you stop playing, it's a seamless experience.

Games. Comparing the PC library to the PS3 library is suicide. You've got a huge library of AAA games on the PC - or you can play inferior ports of PC games like Oblivion on the PS3, with no mod community, no graphics updates, no gameplay overhauls... how boring.

Online. Unfinished PSN - or huge established gaming communities surround every major game. People are still playing Tribes for goodness sake! How many people were online last time you logged into SOCOM? Clans, tournaments, and LAN gaming only take things further.

Cost. Games on the PC are $50... yet the same game on the PS3 is $60. At $10 a game difference, every sixth games is essentially a freebie.


Upscaled PS1 and PS2 don't come close to doing what Oblivion with graphics mods at 1680x1050 looks like... you're comparing several year old consumer consoles that retailed for $300 at launch to a $270 graphics card supported by 2 gigs of RAM and a dual-core processor, not a good idea.

But whatever, other than lying about your support for the PC, what else do you have to offer? Games I can play on my PS1 and PS2? It's not enough, and the Gaming PC simply obliterates it, with better games both now and tommorow.

So use DVI or HDMI...a graphics card with the relevant connectors sells for around $80.  Also,  dont use a KB/M in your recliner if you don't like it, use the pad like I do....and setting it up each time? err mines hidden away behind the TV and the only setting up I do is press my remote to turn it on and switch the TV from DTV or Component to VGA....really not that difficult if you want to achieve it.  Just because it doesn't suit you doesn't mean it isn't a viable proposition.

It is easy to find reasons not to do things but every single person that has played with my setup has asked how they can set up the same thing.  Money is the biggest barrier.

Sorry but not everyone likes all the exclusives available on the PC. Personally, after warcraft 2, I haven't gotten back into the RTS genre, I don't like the sims, Civilization4, etc.

Alot of people like it on any platform, but thats scheduled to never be released o nthe current consoles, when HAlo 3 is going to release on the PC? So shows waiting for what? I dont get HAlo 3 on day one? So? I have Crysis, thats not even nescarry since we have 4 great online FPS games this year, its not like Halo 3 stand out all that much.

Like you said, money is the biggest barrier. Why spend more when I can have the same experience with my x360? I don't want to configure the x360 controller for every PC game I want to play. Nor do I want to configure the settings for every new game.

My entertainment center is full. Thus, no room for a computer. Nor do I want to use my HDTV for a computer monitor. That's why I bought a house with a separate office.

I just want to put a game in the machine and go straight to gaming. Plus I like playing with friends at my house from time to time.....something console gaming excels at.

Allow me to first say this is in no way a trolling statement....I'm being DEAD serious...

What is the point of owning one? So far all I've seen are games coming to PC or better on PC completely.....C & C 3 much?

Gears? Cuz Alan Wake, Bioshock, GTA IV, Mass Effect, C & C 3, UT 3, Oblivion and pretty much any games worth getting for it are on PC...

At least with the PS3 and Wii the games you buy cannot be had anywhere but on the repsective consoles...plus the PS3 has all the multiplats...and if the newer games are any indicator the EDGE tools have corrected the problems FEAR had...

Plus...

MGS4, Resistance, FF XIII, God of War 3, Rachet, Uncharted, Lair, FF versus XIII Heavenly Sword, Killzone 2, GT5, Haze....and all the other multiplats...whats the point of gettin a 360? I'd rather have these exclusives...the multiplats...and a PC for SC2 and maybe Crysis...plus anything I really want on 360 I can just snag on PC save for Gears...heck I can even get Halo 3..

I am serious...I am interested to hear what Lemmings have to say about this...and I would like some good answers..

I mean..look at Halo 2 vs Halo 3...why get a Halo 3 now when its gonna end up looking like Crysis down the freaking road?

Not to mention the many different editions of 360 that developers have to keep in mind when making games for the system. All good points. I didn't get a 360 primarily because my neighbor's broke and MS basically treated him like crap when it happened. This wasn't too long after the system launched and to be fair I here that MS has improved their customer relations since then but that still doesn't bode well in my eyes. After this holiday season there will be no more "but where are the games" comments because both systems will have the games so all that's left is free online for PS3 and the PS3's innovative architecture, standard harddrive, wifi, and bluray. Sony FTW!

Gotta give it to you there. 360 does have a great lineup. The games are coming for Sony but the wait has been painful. You 360 guys had to wait too though. When 360 was in the early months of launch there wasn't a slew of killer apps out. It wasn't as painful for you guys cuz there was no other next gen option to choose at that point.
