Why PS All Stars Battle Royale will be Great

For TL;DR just read the bold part. That is the core of my argument.

I know this game get's hate because it's another PS3 exclusive, but if you look at the possibilities in this game you will understand why it's going to be great.

For starters the PS Brand is a strong one, many of us have grown up with it. Now I may be a bit of a PS3 fanboy (I see it more like having a favorite sports team than anyting else) but this is because I grew up with PlayStation characters and the brand and Sony. Just like how people grew up with Nintendo (as did I, NES was my first system), we have some kind of connection to it. So this kind of game is a dream come true for us PlayStation guys/gals.

Imagine a fight betwen Kratos, Raiden, Dante, and Nariko? Battle of the ultimate bad asses. Or a fight between Sly, Jak and Daxter, Rachet and Clank, and Sakboy? Battle of the ultimate platformer. See this game is like a big toy box. Anything is possible. Drake fighting Big Daddy would be awesome to watch and you know it. Or Good Cole vs Evil Cole? Or Parappa and Spike teaming up to fight Helghast Radec and Sweet Tooth? Or just Sackboy vs Big Daddy? That would be something else.

See the hate for this game makes no sense. Nintendo guys, you should be proud that your great game inspired another, plus this means competition and competition always improves the product. So this game will benefit the next Smash Bros (which will be a LONG way off) so you can kill the time with this instead until the next Smash comes out.

Only the 360 only owners have a real reason to be upset about this because they are the only group who can never get a party fighter becuase their 1st party sucks so much. But this is not Sony's fault, it is MS. Instead of getting mad at cows and Sony get mad at MS for not listening to you and giving you better games.

Give this game a chance people. You might be pleasently surprised. Also the combat is NOT like Smash Bros, people are in for a shock. It's pretty complex actually.

I'd be more interested in it if it had played like Power Stone rather than SSB.

The gameplay itself looks pretty meh, so I can't see the characters (and there only like a couple that I be excited to play as) saving this for me.

Actually you are going to be in for a surprise. On the surface it looks like Smash Bros and is no doubt inspired by it. But it's mehanics are completely different. There are no smash attacks, there are complex combo systems. It plays more like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat and not Smash Bros in it's fighting. It is more deeper than Smash Bros.

And items in this are REALLY poweful, but they are far more rare but they an easily turn the way a match is going. Also this game is going to have a HUGE roster, there are 20 main charaters, and 20 secret ones. That is a total of 40.

It will be a great game for some people but it isn't for me. Just not my type. Same thing goes for LBP Karting which I will be checking out before buying, it might not be my type. The Last of Us is perfect for my taste, so day 1 purchase is guaranteed!

Well an open beta is scheduled for this month (or maybe it is October? ) so if you have a PS3 then you will be able to play it. Us Plus Members will get to play it first but soon everyone will too.

I have seen his sig and it is not impressive. Only Master Cheif and a couple others are recognisable. The rest are no names that on one will recognise except a few die hard Xbox fans.

There is not enough varitey or history for Xbox to have this. You would have Master Chief fight somoe Marcus Phonix from some place in Fable, maybe Bowerstone Market. That is all I can think of, you would end up scraping the bottom of the barrel for a game like this to be on Xbox.

I was the same at first. I thought the idea of special KO only was dumb. But surprisingly it works quite well. I am only worried that some characters will have over powered specials. Big Daddy Level 3 looks pretty much unavoidable. So does Sack Boy's.
