Wii Graphics Already PEAKED?

I just purchased a wii and dont get me wrong, its fun. I was reaidng some older articles that said its a bit more powerful than the orignal XBOX.

call me crazy but NBA 2K7 XBOX looks a light years b etter than LIVE 08 for Wii and Halo 2 & Ninja Gaiden pretty much blows every Wii title away. So has the Wii already peaked graphically?

Visually, the game is a huge (huge!) improvement over all other Wii games in existence. The textures are impressive, the lighting effects are pretty much perfect, and the color scheme is phenomenal. Seriously, there was a sequence when you are climbing on the back of a giant bee (yeah, that is as amazing as it sounds), and the fuzz on the insect is so well-rendered that it actually looks like you are playing an Xbox360 game. Trust me, I never thought I would ever say that about the graphical quality of a Wii game. -Destructoid

either your blind, you have your wii hooked up with the composite cables, or you have never played prime 3. because it looks way way way better than halo 2. way better!

you're retarded, i mentioned nba live 2008 because i was seriously considering buying it. until it turns out to be graphically crappier than an 2005 last gen xbox bball game. my concern is why does it look so crappy if its supposed to be more powerful

The reason it looks so crappy is because the developer didn't put any effort into it. Why are you taking the worst looking game from the Wii and then comparing it to the best looking games on the Xbox.

HD or not, compared in montion on you tv it's still low quality internet video at 24FPS. And I seen no Watch in HD button on this tralier.

You must have a different Xbox than I have.

The "oblivion" engine has just been re-tooled for the wii. So wait until you see some games being run on it before you say, its peaked. Basically, very few 3rd party developers have gone through the trouble to develop an engine that is optimal for wii. We've been seeing crappy games because most of the engines being used are last gen acquisitions.Darthmatt

But it also dosen't mean they did a bad job of it. We've seen what the engine is capable of producing on other systems, it makes sense to see what it's capable of on the Wii before assuming it'll be crap.

i think they using 40% of the wiis power, galaxy looks like they might using over 75% of its power so maybe be 2009 we can truely see the wii power

I see your having trouble comprehending this, I watched an HD-Video. Not of the SAME trailer just one in HD. If anything my monitor makes it look better comparded to the 60" SDTV I have.
