wii has been showing some pretty impressive grapihcs as of late, who else agrees

I mean before people were saying it was weaker than xbox but now it has some pretty impressive looking games

Epic yarn is basically Wii equvilant of LBP PS3, it looks quite amazing.

and xenoblade beats anything on xbox with it's level of scale and detail, quite amazing looking (xbox has produced better textures but the rest..)

and all these wii games still run 60fps right? So do people still think that wii is weaker than xbox in graphics?

I agree that the Wii's graphics have been looking good as of late, but people are going to disagree with you. Also, why no SMG 1 or 2 pics? Those 2 games look amazing.

depends of the size of your screen. a wii on a 46" always looks dreadful.

It's a lot easier to make pretty 2D graphics than pretty 3D graphics, and Xenoblade isn't out yet, so....locopatho

Of course. PS3 too.

I agree. There's been a big improvement in Wii visuals this year. From MOH3, to SMG2 to Epic Yarn to Goldeneye to Sonic Colours. I like how the majority of Wii games run at 60fps with minimal load times as well.

they're still far from being as impressive as HD games, but they still look pretty damn good.BrunoBRS

I have to agree. I've been playing Red Steel 2 and Kirby lately and it amazes me how good they look on my 42" HD screen.

That said, it's a fact that Wii has weaker graphics than the other three systems. The resolution alone is proof of that.

Wii would have benefitted so much had they only pumped the graphics to support at least 720p resolution.nintendo-4life

I know, andI honestly wished they had to round off some of those corners. Nothing to be done about it now except to hope that developers keep coming up with creative ways to make their games look decent. It's tough to do as these TV's keep getting bigger and more unforgiving, though.

We have at least one person in system wars who lives in Japan. And he has said several times that Xenoblade is one of his personal favorite games of 2010.

Then again, it's not like you can find some HQ gameplay videos online and have an informed opinion on its graphics. I mean, we all know that those crazy Japanese folks don't even have video capture devices (lol, they are so teh backwards, lol). And, of course, then there are those who import games. How do they work?

component on my 65" plasma looked great.. i have an hdmi upscaler now which looks just slightly better.

No? They look like last gen graphics from 2003-2004. Half Life 2 (PC) looks better then every Wii game and that was released 6 years ago.

There seems to be a HUGE difference in graphics between No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2...for someone on an SD TV games come close to being comparable to 360.

xbox ? i thought gc had the best looking game of last gen named resident evil 4 wii has it to so yes it is better then an xbox1 ,

and driver paralel lines re4 red steel cod mwr etc prove it

Wiis problem now isnt the detail of graphics but the video processor it contains. I think the wiis awesome, and its my system out of the pack, but we need to give credit where credits due. When NIntendo makes the next system, they need to have equal or better proccesing power of the nest gen sony and microsoft systems. I don't care about graphics reallly thpugh, just saying it be nice to have better so i could rub it in my freinds faces.(tthere ps3 noobs).

The greatest thing, IMO, about the Wii is that it makes the developers think about the design. Instead of making it more and more realistic with each month that passes in gaming, they have to work out what suits best for the system, because they don't have all the tools in the world. Thus, the design often ends up being better than half the competition out there, for me at least.

Epic Yarn is my choice for best graphics of the year along with FFXIII, and other stunners are for instance the impeccably pretty Super Mario Galaxy 2, And Yet It Moves, Other M and Xenoblade.

Then you've obviously never played an Xbox. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Riddick, Doom 3, Half Life 2, Ninja Gaiden, Panzer Dragoon Orta all looked better then Resident Evil 4.

I think the GC had the best graphics card, but wasn't as technically ahead in the other areas when compared to the Xbox. Overall, the Xbox was the most powerful of last gen, but still, graphics appreciation is all subjective at the end of the day.

The max the Wii runs at is 480P.I know this because I use component cables for the system.

The PS2 has a very poor resolution.

The N64 has a better Resolution than the PS2.
