When the 360 launched there was nothing but a bunch of PC ports and let down first party games with last gen graphics just on HD, did that stick? I was promised a revelution. What I was given was a rehashing.

.....okay I'm seriously sick of people who think rehasing hasn't been around. Remember the early 360? Remember the early DS with nothing but tech demos and N64 ports? This happens with every system that sells well with no aware. Devs didn't know the Wii would sell so good. So now they're trying to cash in on it by porting games from last gen, while working on new games designed ground up just for the system*example EA may have published Godfather but they are also working on My Sims and Boogie* This whole "rehash" thing is just a phase just like it was for the DS and PSP and the 360. It will eventually wipe away? How you ask? There is no way rehases are going to sell if there's a quality advertised game out there. What sold better Prince of Persia: Rival Swords/Godfather/Far Cry: Vengence or Sonic and the Secret Rings/Trauma Center/ Super Paper Mario? Each rehases I listed have yet to break 60,000, while the original games have each broke 200,000 *except for Trauma Center which is around 130,000 sold. People want quality new games and that's what the developers are working on and will give them. I don't know how that's so hard to grasp we've seen this happen countless times before with the PSone, DS, 360.

At least with the other consoles you get HD gaming, hardcore games and real online services which is well worth the price of the console.

What do you get with the Wii? Mini-games and tech demos that aren't worth $50, N64 and near Gamecube graphics, and gamecube ports that i'd rather just use the wavebird.

And it seems to me you haven't been console gaming, actually any type of gaming for long because if you have been then you would know there has never been a platform in gaming history that ever  launched with it's "revolution" or "evolving gameplay expeirences" right off the bat. Has it been done with 2 or 3 games right away? Yes. But the majority of the games? My statement that the WIIMOTE itself can craete an amazing game has yet to be seen.

Even though it's system seller fully uses the Wii-mote and can't be done on any other system.

BUT, I will say that in my opinion, playing Wii sports with a regular controller (and this goes for DDR as well) would suck hard.  It is ONLY fun because of the Wii remote.  You will never disprove that.

Second:  Can you imagine Beatmania IIDX with a regular controller?  It would use every button and be impossible to play.

You can't say that the controller is NOT important.  You can say it is not superior because it isn't used well in games.  You can say it isn't fun for you.  But, you can't fight opinion with opinion and expect to get anywhere.  This thread is just an insignificant moment in time.

Also, imo, though the Wii remote hasn't really revolutionized anything yet, it is STILL refreshing to me that Nintendo is trying new things and is able to for a lower price tag.  (And, I expect some good things later this year from them concerning the Wii remote).

I'm not trying to fight either, but one thing to think about is if someone cannot use words properly (this guy wasn't even close), then you have to question his reasoning and deduction skills as well. I'm not talking about a misspelling, everyone does that. This was a word used in a place where it made no sense whatsoever. Again, to quote that site: "Nothing makes you look quite so foolish as spelling a sophisticated word incorrectly." And boy, did he look foolish.

And now he needs scientific research to prove he's a man. See how his reasoning is? Someone should just tell him all he needs to do is look in his pants.

Even with GOTY and numerous high awards, it doesn't change the fact that I could easily hate Zelda and my opinion be just as valid.

The console is barely half a year old. And the future looks to be totally different with many new titles announced with many aimed at gamers. There has NEVER been a console that launched with a load of amazing games right away. I think you just need to wait and be patient just like the PSone, DS, PS2, Xbox 360, PSP, and all the other launch adopters.

Flazzle: You can't be serious, can you? Something like "I am a man" or "I am a woman" is a fact. You can't just try to coat it as an opinion and expect to get away with it. It is something that can be proven through observation. You can't prove that "This game is better". Period.Vandalvideo
