lol! keep that hate coming.... its so funny to see people get so immature and make excuses when the Wii gets a fun game
i love it :)
i suppose when the wii gets a game thats not possible on the ps3 and 360, people's heads explode
[QUOTE="Serraph105"][QUOTE="DeadMagazines"] ..its a freaking minigame collection..DeadMagazinesthat doesnt mean its bad its why no one takes it serious. plain and simple. Nintendo fans are used to the minigames though... just as lemmings and cows are used to FPS's... you're point?

We Rate Games According to the Current Standards of Their Platforms and Genres
Every gaming platform is different, especially in terms of its technical features. However, we believe high-quality gaming experiences are possible on all the gaming platforms that we cover. So we review games against the standards of their respective platforms by implicitly comparing them to other games on that same platformand, to a lesser extent, to other games in that genre. As a result, our ratings of games on different platforms are not intended to be directly compared to one another. However, relative comparisons do apply, so a game that scores poorly is a poor game by any standards, while a game that scores extremely high is an outstanding game by any standards.

now we all know how much shovelware the Wiihas, wii games are compared to those shovelware and then rated....meaning the standards are extremely low.

especially frisbee golf
it's not enough to make me want one but still...a win for the wii crowd if you are not already neck deep in minigames

This is common knowledge.
but what are these 'standards' in question?
if the standard is graphics, then yes, the 360 and ps3 have higher standards
but this is a game meant for motion-sensing..... where the Wii is the one with the higher standards in this regard

WSR is a good game, no matter how you try to look at it

Exactly, I couldn't agree more. exactly
the wii has the highest standard for games like wii sports....the wii simply does games like that better than the competition at the moment
wii sports fully deserves it's score....and it would score the same if it were on the PS3/360 - because, like stated above, the wii holds the highest standard for games that implement motion sensing
people act like the wii does NOTHING better than the competition - as if the wii magically got in 1st place due to price alone. as if anybody could just release a cheap console and win by default. anybody who thinks this way is delusional. nintendo was the first one to implement motion sensing as a standard control mechanism for consoles, and implemented motion sensing better than it has ever been done before for console gaming. sony and MS see it - they are following suit now and are creating their best wii-mote impersonations.

Games the reviewers enjoyed and had fun with get good scores. Games the reviewers didn't enjoyed and didn't have fun with get bad score.
Period. Sure, they're primarily comparing it to wii standards, but they enjoyed it and called it a great game. Here's a tip:
Get over it.

The game is a lot of fun no matter the system, it would still have a good score. Also there is nothing wrong with mini games.

It may be a tech demo, but it is also a game. It is a mini-game collection that also demonstrates wii motion plus technology. I'm not sure if you are implying that wii sports resorts should not be considered a real full priced game, but if this is what you are implying, you are wrong.

I understand that the wii might different standards, but Mario galaxy won game of the year, beating games on various other platforms. When it comes down to it, a good game is a good game. Same goes for WSR.

By calling the game a tech demo, it downgrades the people who worked hard to make this a full game. In fact Wiisports was not even the first game to hit the market with motion+ to hit the market. Please Log In to post.
