Wii U $50 price drop effective Sept. 20th

That Wind Waker Edition console will be ALL GONE day one. It's gonna sell folks!

It was obvious it was gonna get a price cut since the reports of the basic been recalled. The Wii U is gonna do good this holiday despite the PS4 and X1 also releasing.

Not enough. Even at $100 difference, the PS4 is a far better deal. Even if you don't buy a game day 1 with the PS4 you can still play a bunch of F2P games. 

Needs to be $250.

I would not buy wii U for even $50 unless I could flip it for a significant profit.

I wish I could care but 50 isnt enough when you consider the lack of good games, the worst online setup of all their competition, the stupid gimmick tablet is still a focus, they still have terrible 3rd party support and so on.

Ok sure you save 50 dollars, but youre still buying all of the wiius problems. Maybe if it was dropped to 150 it might be worth it. But even at 50 less you can get a ps3 or 360 and a couple games.

A step in the right direction for sure and necessary considering stores have already begun phasing out Basic.

I was expecting something more along the lines of $100 price drop.  

This isn't going to look too appealing next to a PS4 on store shelves this holiday.

Still no thanks.

Seeing as how the Wii U was already selling at a loss at even 350$, the fact Nintendo gave a price drop at all is pretty nice.

My only problem is I wish the Zelda bundle did not include the Zelda art on the Gamepad. I'll probably end up getting the Nintendo Land version because of that, and buying Wind Waker separately.

Otherwise, good deal, if you ask me.

My only problem is I wish the Zelda bundle did not include the Zelda art on the Gamepad. I'll probably end up getting the Nintendo Land version because of that, and buying Wind Waker separately.

 Have not bought a Nintendo console since the Gamecube and have no intention of of buying a WiiU no matter what the price is.  I seriously would not take one for free.
