Man they're releasing Wind Waker digitally a full two weeks earlier than retail? Nintendo probably did that on purpose so that more would buy it digitally so they get more profits.

I'm okay with digital tbh. In fact, I prefer it. Just wish Nintendo would get on the ball about an account system or whatever it is that people complain about it (I don't actually have a Wii U so I'm not sure what the complaints are).

They actually already have an account system, but for some reason only known to them, your games are tied to your console rather than your account. They are supposed to be fixing that soon, though.Sorry but if im gonna pay $300+ for a console it better have a Blu-Ray/DVD player built in.FinalFightersWhy? Don't you already own a device that plays those things? And would you want to pay more just for the functionality? (playback licensing increases the cost of the device significantly)

Â
no kidding...people just dont get it. Â You can plug in any hard drive or flash drive and use that for games. Â You decide how much storage you want! Â
Â
as for the disc drive it has the capacity of bluray and higher speeds...unless you are actually talking about playing back movies in which casethe 90s called and want their physical media back
Was talking about it with my buddy and I think I'm going to buy the Wind Waker bundle. I still got a backlog of PS3 games to play through so I'm in no rush to get a PS4, especially since there will be no BC.

I did, include more storage...and raise the price for everyone including people who dont need it. Â Some people dont buy tons of games

A 2TB external USB HDD can be had for $100 these days... and could store all the Wii U, PS4 and Xbone games you wanted with room left over for a couple hundred gigs of porn.
Let's see:
PS4 + game + PS plus = $510
Wii U (includes WWHD) + 500gb HDD = $350

Guess which one the PlaySlaves think parents are gonna get for their kids this Christmas.
Parents will get their little B*stards what they want and thats either an Xbox 1 or a PS4. I would hate to see some poor kid's face when he unwraps the present to find a pos WiiU instead of the PS4, that'd be heartbreaking.Let's see:

Why are you comparing a last gen console(spec wise ) with the ps4. More powerful hardware offering a more robust online infrastructure and more features is going to cost more. The oddity is wii-u's price being so damn close.Let's see:

The wii-u is already overpriced for what's inside of the box. A marginally more powerful 360 with 32GB of storage has no business being $300-$350, when there are skus of ps3 and 360 packing 250GB+ of storage for $250-$299. Having Nintendo dump the cost onto the buyer just comes off as being cheap. Especially in this digital age. They should provide ample storage space from the get go, instead of forcing us to spend more on top of there already expensive box. People are trying to get rid of boxes under their tv's, so who wants an unsightly external Harddrive sitting on their shelf? Flash drives are a worse $$$ per GB option, so I wont even bother touching that. But apologists are going to apologize MFDOOM1983
Apples and oranges...Much of the Wii U cost is in the tablet controller.
Â
Also, everyone and their dog has wii remotes lying around so that saves buying new controllers at $50 each. Â I will bet any money that Wii U is at least #2 in sales for "Next Gen"
I will have a Wii U and something else. Â Wii U does something different
PS4- MSRP 399+59 for a game+60 for PSN paywall+49 for extra controller Wii U- MSRP 299 including Wind Waker HD+49 for Pro Controller (if you have a Wii, then you don't need to buy more Wii Remotes)+89 for 2TB external hard drive (even that is eliminated if you have one lying around that's not used). PS4 could set you back by at least 500 bucks while the Wii U is only approximately 450 at worst.[QUOTE="hiphops_savior"][QUOTE="EXLINK"] I agree, at $250 I'd consider actually picking one up. Wouldn't mind catching up on some Nintendo fun since my Gamecube. But $300 for a "mid-gen" system is still too much IMO.StrongBlackVine
Why do I NEED an extra controller? Sheep like inflate the PS4's price. Surprised you didn't throw in the cost of PSEye as well.
399+59+60+49=520? Ok. Note that I also added in the Pro Controller for the Wii U as well, so the cost for the Wii U increases as well. Face it, to say that the PS4 itself is only 399 is grossly misleading unless you like to stare at the shiny new console and watch Blu-ray movies. Only social rejects and clowns that lack simple and basic common sense use poorly optimized ports to gauge a console's power.

lol what, no. $300 for a PS3 with a touchscreen and 30gb hard drive? I'll only get it for maximum of $250, and I really do want to get a Wii U because there are going to be some great games coming out for it.
Hmmmm so i have a choice between a $400 console that is 10 times more powerful than a ps3 or one for $300 that is less powerful than a console released in 05, very very hard decision here.silversix_lol you really think wiiu is less powerful then 360/ps3, Â if so then you obviously hadnt played need for speed most wanted u , Â and 360 side by side, i did and the wiiu version looks more better , Â Â
and wiiu has only just been out a yr , ,Â
the developers will learn more and pump even more out remember wiiu has 1 gig of ram thats 4 x the ram 360ps3 had to work with and if nintendo unlocks some of that other ram well , Â guess what ,Â
Â
its still better visually then ps3 360 , if developers do it right, Â
 and lol @10 x more powerful ,  Â
id say 5 x , , Â 10 x is overkill,Â
and really graphics arent what matters the games do ,  Â
so which ever has more games is the best bang for the buck ,Â

That's not really saying much though.
On Nintendo's side we have a system that has been succeeding for a good while now + a struggling system. While on Sony;s side we have a new system that hasn;t been able to build up as much an impressive library due to just launching + a system that has been struggling for even longer.
It's incredibly likely Nintendo will have more sales than Sony this holiday season, and that will have much more to do with the 3DS than the Wii U.
That being said the Wii U may be able to hold its ground to some extent and maybe not do awful, with the newly announced bundle and other games which will be released by the holidays.Â
