Theres a wealth of contenders to replace Nintendo.
So what say you?

System Wars is f*cking stupid. I never thought I'd see something that annoyed me more than the Vita doom and gloom, but man, this one escalates it to a new level entirely.charizard1605Awww it's our little Charizard butthurt his Nintendo is on the way out. Let's see, rise of tablets and smartphones = the continual marketshare decline of dedicated handhelds such as a Gameboy or DS. Wii U, yeah....nobody wants it. Nintendo's lack of a competent online. I can go on and on but would rather save you the tears, the ocean of Wind Waker in your sig is comprised of them anyways.

Maybe if Nintendo did more than make gimmicks, shitty gimped hardware and 1980s rehashes they wouldn't be dying.

Bunny facepalm.
The problem with the WiiU is the marketing and the lack of games. Once those tow problems are fixed the console's hardware sales will pick up.

It's not about the marketing or games, people know it's a last gen system that should have released in 07. Had the Wii U released in 07 it would've been LEGIT but it's too late, everyone is on the way out and Nintendo is playing catch up.Hopefully Nintendo learns a big lesson from this. Pump out recent hardware and stop using old shit. People catch on after a while.. I really do hope they fail with this console. Such a shame.. the gamecube was such a great console.
- I personally am going to get ps4 and stick to my pc for most gaming.

Since when was power related to age? Besides USB2.0, what old components are in the Wii-U?

The CPU and it's 1gb of ram.1gb of ram is not terrible. Most games can be built with 1gb of ram.The PS4 will only use about 45%-60% of it's 8GB GDDR5 ram for games(I.e for the CPU and GPU).
Lame ass excuses from butthurt sheep.
-Just wait for E3
Nintendo cancelled E3.
-3rd parties are keeping Wiiu games a secret
3rd parties cancelled all Wiiu games.
-Just wait for the 1980s rehashes
That didn't help Gamecube.
-The economy is bad
That doesn't stop people from buying ipads and PS3s and 360s every day at high prices.

Consumers are starting to get education on what's weak, and they know the Wii U is weak. For starters, it's Nintendo. Which only means one thing, weak hardware and gimmicks for a premium price tag.[QUOTE="nintendoboy16"]I hear ya, Char. Don't judge a book by it's cover.
By stupidity, I mean early "doom and gloom" bandwagon jumping just because Nintendo systems are struggling. Nintendo is a company the internet/hardcore gaming community deliberately LOVES to underestimate.

Proof? The only education the masses get are advertisements.

And greece to
The US still has a ton of debt(that is kinda uncontrollable) and a high unemployment rate(which is going down really slowly).Countries like Canada are doing good economically.

I'll answer you tomorrow. I'm honestly too high/drunk to answer lol. Though, for now I will say this. It's not running in 60 fps. Which is a big issue for me. Listen.. I'm not a Nintendo hater.. I loved the gamecube.. They just are lagging now.. Though Microsoft seems to be headed that way too. Sony and pc gaming seems to be where it's at now. It's not running in 60 fps. That depends entirely on the game/software though.

It's not that people are haters. It's the constant claims of doom and gloom before Nintendo and everyone else gets a chance to prove themselves. The system is going into just its sixth month. Fixing these things is not something that can be done overnight.

I'll admit we should give it a chance.. though.. Nintendo really is shoving out older hardware.. I mean you don't even have to know your hardware to see a difference. It's more disappointing than anything.. because they could really be great. Instead, they keep trying to take an easy way out.. The wii to me was a downgrade.. and since it sold well.. they are trying it again with the Wii U.. and now it's back firing.. I just hope they learn from this.. and get it together.. Game on a good pc.. and you'll see it.. it's not acceptable to purchase at its price point right now.I'll admit we should give it a chance.. though.. Nintendo really is shoving out older hardware.. Assumed hardware power =/= age. Hell the GPU has non-insiders stumped on its capabilities. Some even say it has features from AMD's Tahiti core. Obviously it's not going to match the 7850-esque chip the PS4 has, and 2GB vs 8GB is quite a difference, but that doesn't mean it can't put up a fight. We haven't even seen what the first party studios have done with it yet. The wireless tech for the Gamepad was only finalized months before it went into production, which is why devs had wired pads for so long. The discs are also 25GB discs (possibly similar to blu-ray,) and it all runs on extremely low power usage. If anything, it's just weaker.
They're not taking the easy way out. They're going at their own stride on their own path.
To be fair, the WiiU's biggest problem is the uncertainty of what Sony and MS will do. The WiiU is not really like the Wii at all in the sense that its novelty sells itself to casuals. This means that the core gamer is on the fence until E3 this year. Not having a Zelda, Metroid or full-blown nextgen Mario isn't helping things, either.
Personally, hearing the new Mario game compared to Super Mario World as well as some of the games coming to the online store is enough to make me want to get one eventually.. But their current library of games does not pull me off the fence to grab one now, and I'm pretty open-minded about grabbing new game consoles. With the economy being as it is, a lot of potential gamers are probably preparing their bodies for a bomb later this year with either the Playstation's pricepoint or the Xbox.
The weirdest part about it is that, despite how long the current generation has gone, the WiiU simply launched too early. And by that, I mean, Nintendo should have come out of the gates with a ton of games if they wanted this thing to have legs. Instead, they put their muscle behind the 3DS and it is costing them.

Bullshit... ps4 will use 48.7-83.94% of its GDDR5.The irony here is that sony is more likely to die first. There's a possibilit that this could be the last sony console.
Or did everyone suddenly forget about sony's dire financial troubles?
Rumors of Sony's impending doom are greatly exaggerated. They could scale back to their videogame, film and financial arm alone and last from now until the sun supernovas. The irony here is that sony is more likely to die first. There's a possibilit that this could be the last sony console.

Yes they are going with their own path.. and it's back firing hard lol.
