lmao, i knew how the vote count would turn out before i even voted. Anyways it won't reduce it to pieces but it could to the original halo. I played this game in a demo and this game is just so epic and amazing. This game will obviously get a sequel and by the time it gets a third, it probably will beat halo 3's (since more people own wiis than 360's obviously for one reason).
Instantly at launch the awesomeness of The Conduit will cause every copy of Halo 3 in the world to destroy itself and Bungie employees will stop work on future projects due to the realization that anything they create will be so vastly inferior to The Conduit. Valve will build a shrine in honor of The Conduit and begin altering the direction of Half-Life 3 to try and imitate it. Infinity Ward won't release Modern Warfare 2 or any other FPS every again because of The Conduit. Seriously though... its not going to break anything of note.
Short answer? Not a shot in hell. "The Conduit" doesn't exactly carry the same weight as "Halo". If it revolutionizes the FPS genre then the sequel might have a chance. From the looks of things, Wii games without the name "Wii" in the title and some packaged-in gimmickry tend to sell disappointingly. Even proven names like GTA have failed to find an audience with Nintendo owners, as dismal sales of Chinatown Wars illustrate.
:lol: that sick. Yup. Say what you will about Microsoft, but their ad campaigns are brilliantly conceived, entertaining, and effective, and an inspiration to the other 2 in terms of marketing. A lot of my favorite Sony and Nintendo franchises would have undoubtedly sold more copies on the 360, and a lot of it is because of their marketing. Kudos to MS and Bungie for expanding the scope and influence of video games, even though I personally think the Halo games are a bit crap.
