Can't I buy a Sony product over MS without being labeled a fanboy? I'm making my purchasing decision based on which company is focusing on me and my likes. I will support them with my $$$... Where did I ask for anything for free?

Is it ridiculous that XBOX Live costs $60 a year? Yeah, when MS only does so, because they know they can get people to pay for it. It certainly doesn't cost that much to operate, they make enough money from Ads on Live to support the service. After 8 years of XBOX LIVE... I'll give some money to PSN+ for a bit, at least they dont hold online gaming ransom for $60/year. Also... Sony actually rewards their subs. with games to play for free. MS might give you 50% a couple times a year, off a game that they can't get anyone to buy anymore... then act like they are really doing something for you.

Absolutely not, not even by a longshot or in your wildest dreams OP. The only thing that might happen is that the PS4 overtakes X1 in sales, but not by a huge margin...if that happens, good for Sony...the Playstation 1 is widely regarded as the console that brought gaming to mainstream, and gaming may not even be what it is today if it weren't for them, I have nothing but respect for Sony.

Who knows how successfull the X1 will be, but they are guaranteed good sales for many reasons, least of which are exclusives like Halo and Forza....those 2 franchises alone will sell millions of X1.....there are lots of gamers that bought a 360  just for Halo or Forza....of  coursse that won't be enough, but I'm just giving a few quick examples off the top of my head.

Its not one site. They're ALL saying it because the ONLY number Sony released was 16.5 million, and that was for PS3 AND PS2 sales. No one has separate figures because Sony hasn't released them. Hmm ... I wonder why ;)

So yeah, not that it really matters since we're in a new generation and all, but dat PS3 is still last bro. Maybe next quarter it'll overtake the 360. Its only taken it 6/7 years :P
