Will you give up on Nintendo after this gen?

I sure have. Nintendo has realised that they can make tons of money off a console with motion controls, many family games, and last gen graphics. I highly doubt nintendo would make a powerful console next gen, seeing how much sucess in terms of sales the Wii is having. I just give up. This was the worst holiday season for the Wii. They havent realeased an AAA title for like six months, and that is pathetic! There are so many great games for the 360 and PS3 right now, I might not even be able to name all of them.

So far I've enjyed the Wii far more then the gamecube. I also love they put out a VC, so I can go back and play lots of the games I missed during the 8-bit and 16-bit era.

You do realise that sony went nearly 2 years without making a AAA game.

I'm not giving up on Nintendo I have 13 games for the Wii (That is the least I have for a Nintendo Console but their is still 3 years left for the Gen.) But it is more games then any non Nintendo console I had except for Genesis I think it is tied.

Also can we make this a Sticky just because their is another one of these threads about 3 times a week maybe more and I think if their was a sticky they can keep it all in one thread.

Sure will....why wait for features (like proper online) from Nintendo in 3-4 years when they are available now. And even when next gen arrives Nintendo will still be behind in w/e the norm will be at that time.

I'll never give up on Nintendo as long as they keep making the masterpieces like Mario Galaxy and Pikmin 2 (Pikmin 3 is confirmed for Wii). The Wii has the best 3D Mario, the best Metroid Prime, the best super Smash Bros. (greatest multiplayer experience known to man) and the best Mario Kart. They are still making all their triple AAA efforts just as well as they used to, if not, better! They are just releasing simple casual games at the same rate as they great gamer games.

Thanks for defending me maturely. I greatly dislike both sandbox games and shooters. What does that leave me with these days? The industry is overrun with shooters, it's disgusting. Where's the veriety? Platformers are my favourite genre of gaming and now they are almost extinct! Braid should get more exposure. Non-Nintendo franchises I enjoy just as much are Street Fighter and Dragon Quest (Final Fantasy lost it completely when XII came around). I have specific tastes.

I gave up on Nintendo after trying most of the Wii games they have been making. They seem to be going in a direction that is opposite the one I want to travel. foxhound_fox
