I went to gamersyde and searched for the Witcher 3 video . I have download manager so it gave me the option to download it in 1080p and 60fps when I selected video quality . There was also a direct link (that doesn't require any software) , someone had posted it in other thread but now I can't remember . You should google it , you'll find it since it's there .
It is a linear corridor shooter made exclusively for PS4 and I'll wait for DF's analysis (ehm Killzone 1080p) . Witcher 3 is first true next gen game and it's open world .
Also dont let the "inengine " trailer fool you people its no different from a tech demo or non interactive cinematic cut scene, using assets that are not in the game as you play. ND are known to downgrade the retail from E3 presentations.

Only on consoles because consolers know nothing but consoles. Almost all major gaming review outlets are console oriented so there again bias. Games like Uncharted 3 cant even hold a candle to a game like BF3 graphically.

The PS4 may not be able to provide a solid framerate at that resolution without some sacrifices to graphics quality. They are working on it, but dont just in a fanboy rage claiming it will be 1080 when the dev's themselves state “probably not”.

Yeah, Infamous SS looks great. I played the first infamous (ps3) and quickly fell out of love with it. The game play is soooo boring and repetitive. Just not my thing. I can see where it may appeal to some people. If the Witcher 3 runs at 30fps on the PS4 then they'll need to dumb down the resolution to get it closer to 60fps. If they don't do that, the game will likely still play good enough.

All this craze over 1080p is ridiculous. Ive played Assassins Creed 4 on PS4 at 900p before the 1080p patch and couldn't even tell the difference. Besides, they might be pushing for more detail and effects over resolution. Because the more you push effects and detail, the more of a toll it takes on the hardware so you might have to bump the res down a bit. There are always small sacrifices that have to be made when putting games on fixed hardware.

A sub-1080p 30fps Witcher 3 on the consoles sounds about right. It's a damn largescale game and even though the PS4/Xbox One are capeable machines, CdProject Red takes no prisoners when it comes to pushing graphic fidelity and complexity of their games.
For the record I'm expecting that the system requirements are going to be pretty high and maxing out Witcher 3 on even a $1500 gaming PC with the latest stuff may be difficult to do.
But if PC only has "really really pretty shit games" then why has PC more AA/AAA games than consoles? Plus the fact that over 90% of console games are also on PC. And let's not forget that you said that you've been primarily a PC gamer for the last decade, I wonder why you'd play primarily on PC when all it offers are "really really pretty shit games".
These "AA/AAA" games PC gamers keep talking about get rated on a far smaller scale than console games and multiplats. When a misc RTS PC exclusive gets released on PC, it gets reviewed by a quater of the sites a PS/XB exclusive like Uncharted or Halo would.
